Tiffany

To anyone that is thinking of using Tiffany transportation, our family will HIGHLY recomend them. Our driver was awaiting our arrival at the airport and was very helpful with info during our drive to our resort. He was on time (actually a little early) when taking us back to the airport. Sure beats Mears any day. I will never use Mears again!!!!

I agree! Glad to hear of your great experience with Tiffany! We will be using Star this time. They are the towncar service that came with our AAA/ WDW package. Anyone ever use this service? I can't remember if they were the service that we used last time.:weird:

I don't know about Star, but we also had a great experience with Tiffany. In speaking with one of our drivers, I found out that Tiffany is actually a service. Each driver owns his/her own car, and works for him/herself. Tiffany takes the reservation, tells the driver about it, and goes from there. I think that's part of why they're so good. There's more motivation when you work for yourself rather than someone else.:D :)

We also used Tiffany last trip & were extremely pleased. 2 points:

1. There's a coupon you can download from Tiffany's web site for $5 off your first round trip.

2. If you want to stop by the grocery store on the way to WDW just let them know when you make your reservations. They're happy to accomodate.

We had a great experience last year, as well. Our flight was on time, but it took like a 1/2 hr. to get our luggage and our driver was very accomodating and patient. We had a party of 8 and took the passenger van. It was very impressive to my mom and 75 year old great aunt.

I would highly recommend this service and plan to use it on our next trip!

For just a towncar I usually do $10 each way. If you use a CC you can add it to the charge just like the tip at a restaurant.

I think we tipped 10 bucks from the airport because it took forever to get our luggage. However, on the way to the aiprot I think we only tipped 5 because we lugged our own luggage in and out of the van while he got a page on his CB. I don't know. I don't want to be cheap, but at the same time, it seems like after paying 90 bucks for the service, I don't necessarily feel like I should ahve to sheel out an additional 20. Should I be tipping more? Next trip it will just be my DH and I and we won't have much luggage. Help!:dazed

Dannysbelle, I agree with you. Tipping should go along with the service. But since they've always been really good about us not having to fool with our luggage, etc I tip them the $10. At the airport all I have to do is point it out & they grab it, & on the way home they take it straight from the hotel luggage guy & unload it at the curbside check-in so we don't even have to fool with it. I hate lugging luggage!

I think we tipped $10 for each way. I probably would have just tipped $5, but it was x-mas week when we were there. Our return trip was x-mas night and I felt bad that he wasn't with his family. We were the first of 4 trips for him that night.

Good things. Mears is efficient, although impersonal since it's a busload of people and not a one family car. Your bus may make a stop at one or two other resorts before getting to yours, but their vehicles are clean and comfortable.

I travel alone to WDW alot. I have always used Mears as my transportation and it has always been a pleasant experience.

This year there are 6 of us going for New Years. I am looking at using Tiffany for the first time. Am I correct in reading their site, that it is $95 roundtrip for a van? Plus the $10 tip each way. If so, this could save us around $53 for the group. That could buy hot dogs at Casey's in the MK!!

How far in advance should I reserve the van?
