Icon5 Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines....

Going to Orlando the best flight times for me are with Alaska Airlines or Delta Airlines (code share with Alaska, so I think it's on an Alaska plane)

Anyone had any good or bad trips with these airlines?

I always had good experience with Alaskan.. But it was along the West Coast and up to the Alaska state. Not sure how good they are going inland..

Delta has always been good to me. If you ever have a "problem" while flying Delta, see the REDJACKET at the Boarding gate. They are the ones who have the ability to make life comfortable..

Re: Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines....

I've only experienced Delta twice that I can recall, and both were international flights. One to Switzerland and one to London. Seats were too small and cramped, but that's true on any airline! :) Other than that, I don't have any complaints. We were upgraded to business class on the way home from London in February 2005--that I can give a thumbs up to! :)

Okay. When you are boarding the flight, there are a number of Delta Employees milling about. (Or at least there should be) Um, Delta is good in the sense that IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM WHATSOEVER, the person (male or female) wearing the RED JACKET or COAT is the person who can save the day.

They are the top dog, who can resolve any ugly issue.

For me, I got upgraded to First Class from LAX to Honolulu, all because they wouldn't take my Platinum American Express in San Diego to upgrade (they claimed it was sold out) Upon boarding the flight in San Diego, I realized there were seats available in first class, but by then it was too late, and I had to wait until we arrived in LAX. When I finally got off the plane from San Diego, I went to the gate for Honolulu, only to find out that they had just given away the last upgrade to First Class. (the ones that didn't exist)

One conversation with a red coat later, and I was sitting comfy free of charge..

That's the power of a redcoat with Delta..

Re: Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines....

We always fly Delta, I use my skymiles. This coming trip we are flying out of Rochester, not Buffalo though. What a price difference. Delta is usually the cheapest airlines and even they are making me sick right now with their prices.

Re: Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines....

Karen if you have the opportunity to check in on line- do it- I am sure 2.5 hours will be ample but you never know-especially with International travel. We always do online check in and when I see the queues for check in I am so glad we did-anything that saves valuable time has to be a bonus.
Princess Tessa we too flew with Delta but like Bali it was an international flight so perhaps it might not be the same but we found them to be fine.
