transportation to the POP from amtrak
as you may remember DH and i are going for our 25th in spetember. we have almost decided to take amtrak instead of driving. it is getting really hard for him to do the two days in the car. plus it works out to close the same price.
dumb question how do we get from the amtrak station to the hotel, i know we can taKE a cab but i have no idea how much that will cost and am not sure where the trains station is to WDW. plus in our area cabs are usually scrungy then there is all the luggage. as you can see i am floundering on this one and am not sure where to start looking. i know ME does not work for trains but what else is there?we have always driven but DH actually asked me to look into the train. he always drives most of the trip and although I offer to help he likes to drive. thanks for any help |

Re: transportation to the POP from amtrak
Well from the train the only options you have are either a cab or a town car.
I will go with the town car. Also what train station are you going to get of at?? Orlando is way to far ,there is one in Kissimmee that will be closer to Disney plus it looks a lot better too than the one downtown and if the drivers knows better he can take Oceola PKW and not 192 and you be in POP in 10min. Hope it helps a bit. I work for Mears but i can actually recomend Quiksilver, not because of the service because both do the same but is up to you compare prices. Heck i might even offer to pick you up if im off that day LOL.

And about the stations the one in downtown is in a way not in a bad area but with all the construction it look awful the one in Kissimmee is a lot nicer and if the town car is late at least you can walk around there is a park right in front of the station plus you are in the historic district of the city. Also there is a big lake next to it.
