Ok I need a little help with directions. We are staying at OKW 11/30 to 12/5.
We are in a two bedroom studio. My parents are coming with us. Anyhow...
Mom will not fly at night! So they are arriving earlier than we are. Mom and Dad's last trip to WDW was 1978! So things are quite different! Anyhow they want to go to DTD shop and go to the Earl of Sandwich for Dinner.
So here are my two questions.... Are there two bus stops for DTD ( Pleasure Island and West side?) What stop is closer to Earl? Second What store is Earl close to? Just trying to give them some visual clues!

We normally drive to DTD so I am unsure of how to tell them to get there!

Well your staying at OKW so you have 2 transportaion options.

One is the bus: There are 2 stops at Downtown Disney, one at the market place (closet to Earl of a Sandwich) and another at Pleasure Island, The west side stop has been closed for quite some time now. This bus will also go to Typhoon Lagoon at certain times.

Second is the Boat They load on the water side of the checkin area. Its a longer ride but a very enjoyable ride that drops you right at the Market Place close to Earl of a Sandwich. Its also quite nice to come into DTD from the water side and see how huge the area really is.

Earl of a sandwich is located by the pin station, simplest for your parrents would be to just ask any castmember once they arrive at DTD.

KarenT If your parrents are not really familiar with the new DTD have them take the boat, Its much harder to get lost from there. The bus drops off at the edge of the marketplace, the boat drops off in the middle of it.

Thanks for the tip. I am going to tell them to take the boat. I think it will be a lot easier for them! We do not want to lose them on their first day at Disney
