Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
I don't know how to play the airfare game. I booked our Christmas flights about a month ago and so far the price hasn't changed much. I wasn't going to keep checking it in case it went down a lot but I couldn't keep from peeking.

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
My aunt flew in on Dec. 26 last year and she booked her flight in September. HOWEVER, in November she went on and was looking at something and found her EXACT flight for about $150 cheaper. She called the airline (Southwest) and they gave her a giftcard for the amount of the discount. Not sure if this works for every airline but SW didnt give her any trouble at all.

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
Depends on if its in your target price. I dont want to fly for over $69 one way so when I see it there or lower I will book right away. Last year I waited till 1 month away and it was horrible. I flew into mco and came home outta ft. laurderdale. This time I sen SW for $49 one way pp and I took it right away!

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
We flew into south Florida for Christmas three years in a row, twice we took the advice of "wait, and you'll get a better price." Yeah, we tried waiting and ended up spending almost double
I'd say if you get a good or reasonable fare scoop it up, better safe than sorry. PS: I bought plane tickets for our November trip last month already and got a fare UNDER what we usually pay Newark to Orlando non-stop.

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
We have flown in december to WDW quite a few times. My best advice is get a feel for what a R/T flight should cost. We live near O'Hare and Midway airport in Chicago. Highest Fair was $208. R/T. Lowest fare a ding from Sothwest $59.00 each way.
So when I am looking for airfare I keep that price range in my head. Then if i find a good deal within that range I book it. Sure the price may go down....or up... but I have my flight. In our experience waiting for Fall sales has been to our advanatge. Good luck |

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
book em now....they are going to keep going up I think. I have been waiting and waiting for spirit to go down so I can change my flights from august to october and it's not happening...I am going to wait just two more weeks and then just book the stupid things. This is by far the most I have ever paid for airfare in all my trips to WDW with all these corrections...ugh!

Re: Christmas flights should I book now?
It might depend on where you are starting your journey. We flew out of Milwaukee. Last year we booked our flight in January for our Christmas trip to WDW. Being the kind of person who second guesses just about every major decision I make, I followed the airline prices ALL YEAR until we left. The price kept going up and it never went down. Good luck!
