This is the first time this has happened to us. I booked through my TA on Continental in Feb. and when I picked up my tickets today the times were all off. We are leaving NY over an hour earlier than the orginal time which isn't a huge deal. I'd rather get there sooner, but we are leaving WDW 3 hours earlier! Plus we have a layover that went from 55 minutes to 3 hours!!!
What can I do? Am I just out of luck??? That's not fair!!!!

Man that stinks! I don't know how this stuff works...can they really change your flights times with no notice??

It happened to us once, but our TA notified us. Thank goodness it was for the better, but no, there's nothing you can do. They should have told you though. Not cool!!!

Yes, it does stink! I search and search to find specific times. I knew it would be difficult with three kids to get up early and when do we feed them, etc. I thought I had the perfect times. Guess the joke is on me!!!

Does anyone know if they will change again? I just cannot believe how crappy our return flight has now become!!! We went from having a nice breakfast and taking our time on our departure home day to let's go, let's go!! Ughhh!

Unfortunately the airlines can schedule change flights whenever they want...it stinks, but that's the way it is. I'm surprised that your TA didn't advise you of such a major schedule change...especially the return. When airlines have schedule changes, the passenger is supposed to be given the opportunity to accept the schedule changes, inquire if there are other options, or cancel their reservations without penalty.

Did you check with your TA? I would push to see if there was a later flight coming home and then state that you shouldn't pay for any flight changes charge because the airline is the one to change the times so much. I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a try. Yrs and yrs ago we had an airline change times on us several times and than a sale came out, when I tried for the "x" fare, I was told "sorry, that's only for "y" flights". I complained and they gave me the sale price.

Yep, that's my point...she should have been given that option before the schedule changes were accepted. I fear it may be too late I hope not though. No harm in trying....

You mean my TA was aware of the change beforehand and accepted on my behalf? Even the flight numbers are different. When I asked about the change her manager said that it happens randomly. If I already paid for the flights isn't it too late? Rats! I don't know what to do!

Well, to be fare since I don't know the details, I guess it depends how it was booked. Was your air booked as part of a package..did your TA book it through Disney Travel or some other vendor? If so, then he/she might not have known until they received your final travel documents. If your TA booked the air separately, the airline would have notified them directly. In this instance the TA accepted on your behalf. Either way someone was aware of the change and didn't advise you prior to accepting the change. Not good....you might have luck if you call the airline directly and explain your situation. If they have other flights, and the fights are available, they may let you change.

I know NW changed our flight times once, and they emailed us and also gave us an opportunity to choose a different flight. But I booked the flights myself, so I don't know how it works when you go through a TA.

The airline notifies agents in a similar way. Depends on if it's booked online(like you booked it) or if it was booked using an airline reservation system. Someone def. dropped the ball here though

Call the TA and tell them the change is NOT cool with you. I have had this happen to me NUMEROUS times...at least 5! And once I saw the times changed (NOT to my advantage) I called the airline immediately and explained to them that I booked a specific flight and it got changed. Each and EVERY time, they changed my flight to something that worked better with my schedule at NO COST. Twice, there were no alternatives, so they refunded my money 100% and I booked on a different airline.

If this is the option is offered and one you think you want to use. Just be sure there is another option(airline) before you cancel your current reservation. It's better to have an inconvenient schedule than no flights at all.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I held a flight on a different airline before I cancelled my first set of tickets. It all worked out!
