I need some advice from people who have gone to Disney Mid December before.

When is the time to buy them? Iam not used to going this time of year and some airlines have released seats yet. I was wondering when is a good time to buy my airfare for my December trip (14th-19th).
Is it busy that time? Its not Christmas week but Iam not sure if travel is busy that time and If I should buy my tickets by a certain time or is it "safe" to wait for a good deal (when they ever come out?).

I will be flying out EWR (tried philly before, never again, and no NYC airports for me), and was hoping for Jet Blue, but they don't have seats for sale yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd wait for JetBlue's fares to be published. Then I'd buy them...if they get discounted after you buy them, they will issue you a credit to be used within 1 year. I LOVE JetBlue!

Wishy and I are trying them for the first time for our August trip!!!
I hear so much good things about them from my co-worker.

Do you know the date when they come out? I have no idea how Jet Blue works, like how many months in advance they book.

If you are close to Atlantic City, try Spirit Air they have good fares for that time of year. When it comes to Christmas week however, they are extremely high.

Thanks LynnA. I have never flown with Spirit, they usually never have the right airfare when I check them and they dont have a whole lot of flights to choose from.

At my travel agents advice (BAD), I bought my tickets last June 2006 for my trip December 2006. We were traveling from California to Orlando which is pricey, but I ended up paying way too much. If I had waited until September I could have saved $200 per ticket. There were 6 of us traveling. Wait!!

Thanks for the advice! I will "try" to wait! lol
2yrs ago I waited and hit it big! lol I got $135 a ticket for last week of Oct. The next year (last year) I waited and ended up on a connecting flight w/Air Tran!!! Waiting did not work for me then!

They only have two flights into and out of orlando every day. Not much to choose from is an understatement The trade-off is the great airport and the relaxed pace before you get on that plane. Last october was my best flight to WDW ever and the first time I ever took Spirit. For someone like me who is just a bit of a nervous flyer, taking them out of AC is a good deal. It's just a calmer environment...even the security people are pleasant there. Night and day from philly airport. The parking is super cheap too...cost me $40 to leave my car there for the week.

I just booked my flight down from Philly to MCO at $99. I did not book our return flight yet. I figure if airtran drops the price, I will get a credit and use it toward our return flight. I hope that the prices don't go up instead of down.

Yeah my friend has flown them up from Myrtle Beach to here. I just wish they had more flights to choose from. I like those nite flights coming home and just basically more times to choose from. I imagine it is smoother flying out of AC airport, mabye one day it will work out for me.

I think they have non-stop flights out of philly but not Newark, which is closer to me. I will NEVER do that again!!! Going to Orlando we were delayed and almost missed our connecting flight! They do not guarantee that the flight will wait for you so we had to RUN From one terminal to another in Atlanta (HUGE airport) and only had 5-10mins to make the flight. Needless to say I threw my knee out (the one I just had surgery on) and I was in pain for a few days. I will never do that again!

I bought my airfare 2 weeks ago we are flying from Ohare to Orlando nonstop.
I paid 204$ each that includes tax and that. We booked through United.com for our tickets.

I called around to see if they thought flights would drop much or not at all . they said they will continue to rise we are traveling when you are. they may of said that to get us to book, but we booked thru the internet.
I have watched the airfare incase they drop and we get a credit back, they actually rose we paid 1228$ for 6 tickets its over 1500$ now for same itinerary.

I know your not flying from my location but I would do as others have said if it is at or getting to a price that is your limit then get it like I did.
