parking fees at the world

did I read somewhere that if you are staying onsite, you don't have to pay for parking at the parks? or is it just wishful thinking?

Re: parking fees at the world

That is true.

From: Walt Disney World - Disney World Vacation Information Guide - INTERCOT - Walt Disney World Inside & Out - Info Central

Walt Disney World provides significant parking areas for their theme park visitors. Day guests are only charged a parking fee once-per-day. Keep your parking receipt and you'll be able to parking-lot-hop without incurring additional charges on that given day.

There are no parking charges for guests visiting the various Disney Resorts*, Disney Water Parks, Downtown Disney, Disney's Miniature Golf Courses or Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.

Parking at the Theme Parks is free to guests staying on-site at a Disney Resort and for Annual Pass holders.

*Please note; when visiting a Disney Resort you'll receive a limited parking pass. When your time elapses your vehicle is subject to towing. This is designed to discourage visitors from parking at a resort and heading to a theme park for the day.

Parking Fees:

Vehicle Type - Daily Price

Automobile / Taxi - $10.00
Limo / Shuttle Service - $10.00
Camper - $11.00
Tractor Trailer / Bus - $14.00

Valet parking is available at the Deluxe resorts for $10 per day. Guests using valet service are only charged once-per-day. Simply show the attendant at the resort the parking receipt and you will not incur additional charges for that day.

If you are staying at a WDW resort, you get a parking pass and do not have to pay for parking.

Question on Valet parking.. If you park using the Valet at the deluxe resorts is there a time limit (longer than 3 hrs) that your car can by in Valet parking?

Re: parking fees at the world

yet another reason to stay onsite for us! that's gonna save us $80!! we prefer to drive - don't like buses & we are at POP, so those are the only choices. but, last time, we had to pay $10 per day to park, and that adds up!

woohoo - more money to buy fun stuff!!

Re: parking fees at the world

Also, if you get a parking pass from AAA you can park closer but you still have to pay to enter. But then again, the tram will take you to the enterance so you end up walking further with the pass. Whatever.

Re: parking fees at the world

We always either drive our own or get a rental at MCO and we stay onsite and never had to pay for parking. This year we will have my mom with us and she has a disabled tag so per my understanding valet is free with that.

We use the free parking for resort guests and the AAA Diamond parking card when we drive to the parks. We get very close to the entrances, which is a life saver at park closing time.
