Being dropped off at a WDW Resort

A relative has kindly offered to drive me from Tampa, FL to Saratoga Springs in WDW. My question is, will there be any issues with being dropped off? Will they allow a non-guest's car on site? The last thing I want is problems after the 2 hour drive! Any Florida locals have similar experiences that they could share?

Hello and welcome to MB. I dont think that you will have any problems what so ever. Last year I had a friend come to my resort and was non auth. you do need to stop at a little guard desk to get thru but tell them you are there to see someone for look at the resort. You will be able to go right in.

Re: Being dropped off at a WDW Resort

Thanks tinkerbelle, I just didn't want to have my relative drive me all the way there and be turned away at the gate!

Just incase, I'm going to bring my RSVP printout and I'll have my ID ready.

Also thanks for the welcome to the boards. :D

Re: Being dropped off at a WDW Resort

We had a friend that picked us up at MCO and brought us to / from the Poly last January. At check-in (guard shack), they asked for a copy of our itinerary, and our name & ID. Besides that, there were no problems.

I'm going June 17th til the 24th. It's my first trip to Disney in quite a while (15 years or so) and my girlfriend's first trip ever! I can't use the countdown to Disney feature in my signature so I just added the date in there.

Thank you very much for sharing that. I'm definitely going to have that information available for the person at the front gate.
