One way car rental from MCO to WDW?
Here is the master plan: we tacked on two days at Nick prior to our WDW stay. We also want to make any grocery stops and maybe throw in a Sea World trip.
Has anyone done a one way car rental (National?) from MCO and dropped off at the Dolphin/Swan complex? We'd plan on taking ME back to the airport to head home.

They usually charge you a pretty penny to do that. I wanted to a couple of years ago from WDW to Port Canaveral, and it was an outrageous fee.

I checked with National - one way from MCO to WDW will be $400+ for the two days. Plan B - a rental for the two days, drop the family off at the BCV, return the car to MCO, then car service back to WDW. Got to be cheaper than Plan A.

Re: One way car rental from MCO to WDW?
Have you thought about renting for you length of stay??? It may be cheaper just to rent the entire time. Or, would a cab, town car service, be cheaper for the 2 days.
We always rent and for 11 days we are paying a total of $314.00 with Dollar Rental. We do use the car while there, and also use WDW Transportation when convenent.

We have been investigating rates for August and can not even come close to that amount. Did you use any special codes? We are going for 10 days. What size car did you get? We did get 4 days thru National & returning at WDW - Dolphin for $118 including taxes and stuff. (We need the rental car in the beginning of our vacation but then can make due with Disney transportation once at the park) Did anyone ever use the ME one way? How does that work? Are we just better off renting for the entire time and eating the extra $220? Please help - we usually just rent but are on a budget this year and last year it sat in the parking lot the entire time (it never left its original spot!) |

You are better off keeping the car for the trip or dropping it off the day before you leave and then taking ME back to the airport...it will probally be cheaper. Heck, taking the towncar would be cheaper.
