DME or Quicksilver?
I feel like I'm a heretic simply by asking this question. Gregory runs such a terrific company and we've had tremendous experiences with Quicksilver, even the time when I messed up the reservation.
So, I am reluctantly posting this query... Should I consider using DME? We'll be using carry-on bags alone. So, we won't need the luggage transfer. But, we'll be staying at the GF, so it's my understanding that GF guests get a VIP type of DME. Is this true? Honestly, it's possible that regardless of the answer, we may end up using Quicksilver anyway, I just want to cover all my bases. Thanks in advance. ![]()

I have never used it, but many others here swear by it...and some swear OFF of it!
Why not give it a try??? ![]()

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
THe first time we used DME we were staying at WL and the only other person on our bus was going to GF. I didn't see her treated any differently than we were. In fact, we were dropped off before she was! I've not heard that GF guests got special treatment, their line is right next to all the others at the airport.

If we weren't trying to compress as much magic into a short weekend, we still might use DME, but we're only there for 2 nights. (That's all we can afford for a Deluxe anyway). Thanks DT, I can always count on you for accurate information. ![]()

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
Since your trip is short and you are going all out I would go with Quicksilver for sure. It would seriously damped the thrill of the GF experience you are going for to take DME vs. QS.

One should always use Quicksilver when compressing magic...

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
Hi Matt! Honestly, I have heard nothing but good things about Quicksilver. ME seems to be MOSTLY well-received. But if I were stuck on a bus resort-hopping and my stop was the last, I'd be just about ready to jump out of my seat and walk!

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
We are using DME. I have heard about QS but since it is our first trip we have decided that since we have the time we will not spend the extra money for QS. I also think it would be kinda fun riding the bus with the kids for the first time. I think it would get them really pumped up.

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
My thoughts are, staying at the GF, I would go all the way and take Quicksilver. Travel in style. what's another $100.00 ? (especially since they're not mine to spend)

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
As far as I know, DME is the same for all resorts. Personally, I prefer the towncar. I don't have the patience to wait for the DME after all the waiting I do to actually land in orlando....I'm weird that way..lol

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
It's the GF, get the REAL limo, especially because it's only a two day visit.
When we've gone to Disneyland, we've gotten a real limo to take us to the Grand Californian. Matter of fact, the first time out was the same night as the Emmys. You should have heard the limo companies laugh at me. I hadn't even thought about it, and I know from experience that for Super Bowls and major concerts, every limo in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties gets tied up. I was just more concerned with having time at Disneyland and a couple days at Magic Mountain at the end of September. Lucky for me the GC's concierge was able to arrange a limo for us. Even luckier they were able to wait the 4 hours our plane was late. And LAX to Disneyland is a lot farther than WDW to MCO.

I always say "Stay with what works." You never - ever - go wrong with QS.

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
Matt, I believe you have made up your mind already, but as someone who has done ME. I can honestly say I do not have the patience necessary to do it again. I would stick with Gregory.

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
We've only done DME, I can't see spending the extra money for QuickSilver, don't get me wrong, I would love to but we feeling that we can spend that extra $100 at the parks.

Re: DME or Quicksilver?
If it were not for the size of my family and the costs associated with lugging all of us in a van- I would take QS over ME anyday- we waited in a long line to get checked in and then another long line to get on a bus that was shared with CS - QS would have had us there about an hour maybe 1.5 earlier if I had used them instead for that part of our trip. As for preferred experiance I have not heard this at all- in fact I rememer that each resort was shared busses with another including the Deluxe resorts.
