Favorite/Cheapest Rental Car Companies

So for our next trip to WDW we are going to be renting a car since we will be hitting up a few places in Florida not just WDW. We will be arriving in Tampa, renting a car there, driving to WDW, then driving to West Palm Beach and will return the car to that airport.

It has been ages since we have rented a car in Florida. I was wondering what rental car agencies my MB friends prefer while in Florida?

Hi Karen,
I used Enterprise with a bunch of codes that were stackable from Mousesavers.com and got a SUV for a week for $128.00 in November. I picked it up at MCO and returned it there, so you may pay more for different drop off. Good luck and keep looking for the codes because they do work.

I will second what XQIXX said- visit mousesavers.com and you will find great discounts codes. We have had luck with National also.

We have only ever used Dollar? but thats only because its a familiar name to us- there may be far better deals and codes shopping around.

We are renting with Avis when we go next month. We will be picking up and dropping up in different locations and Avis does not have an extra fee for doing that. You might want to check them out.

Unfortunately, this year I have not had any luck with the codes at Mousesavers. I seem to always end up with messages saying that the code is not valid.

DD is driving to So Car for spring break and is getting a great deal from "Dad's Cool-guy Car & truck -Emporium."

All you have to do is ........... well nothing, it comes with a full tank gas and you bring it back empty.

We use National mostly, but we will happily use whichever of the companies will give us the best deal... AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN THE TERMINAL!

We don't have the patience to fetch the luggage and drag it out to get in line for the shuttle, then get it on the shuttle, then get it off the shuttle, then stand in line at the satellite rental office, and then go fid the car... and then do it again backwards on the way home! We are big babies about it!

We prefer to get to the parks quicker, even if it means paying a bit extra...

I would agree. Get one in terminal. They all seem OK. I prefer Enterprise but Alamo has had some really good deals lately.

We have used several companies over the
years. This April we are using Alamo, I got
a good deal PLUS a coupon for one free
extra driver which works out something like
this, $8.00 or $10.00 per day X 12 days.
That is a good savings. Even though DW
does not drive on our vacations, our one
and only "vacation" credit card is in her name
making me the "extra" driver.
Understand?

I used Dollar in September; I got $19/day (for a compact) and ended up with a PT cruiser. I used the terminal at the airport, and it was very easy. I signed up for the savings card, and also got the "city special" from their website. The only thing that I wasn't happy about was the $250 old they put on my debit card!
