Right now Southwest is only taking reservations up til August 22nd.

When they open up more dates will it just be a 2 month window or do you think it will be until the end of the year? I don't want to drive myself crazy checking it every day if Nov rates won't open until this summer!

Who am I kidding, I'll still drive myself crazy!

it says on their site that they will open to Oct on April 17th- Im assuming that it wont be until may or June for November.

That's a fair assumption...they are usually about 6months out...pain in the buns...I can't wait that long or I may have tried them by now..lol

My son went to DW in Oct last year and we went in Nov. Our tickets did not go on sale when his did. as a matter of fact, when they did go on sale, it took about a month to go "on sale" I can remember checking the site every day, every day, every day, .......... until the price came down. Be patient and you'll get your price. I also remember the price was cheaper for the latest flight home-late night- than the one I wanted, but the going flight was good, so I booked and when the other flight came down in price, I rebooked it and got the time I wanted (and cheaper) and my daughter used my credit this past January.

I too am waiting for SW new dates...I only need Aug 24th. So I have been going crazy sense they released these dates back on Feb 1st! I called and the girls said they had no idea when the dates would be opeing up and just to check everyday!
Then I have to keep my eyes peeled for my parents flights Nov & Dec. I'm the little family travel agent!

After reading Woohoo's post, I went on the website and this is what it says:

We are currently accepting air reservations through August 22, 2008. On April 17, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through October 30, 2008. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Looks like I have a while to wait until I can book my Nov. flights!!!

I have been looking every day as well. I need to book for the last day of Nov. with a return flight during the first week of Dec. I also have been checking for Spirit Air and they are only booking through Oct. 31st I believe. The air is always such a big thing for me and I HATE having to wait to get it. I always feel like the vacation isn't real until I have the airline tickets.

I think that is my problem too! Vacation just doesn't seem like it's really going to happen until you have the flights booked!
