Should I cancel my SWA ressie?

I just seen that I can get a credit of $40 on SWA by cancel my outgoing ressie and re booking. How hard is this to do and is it worth it?

Rlander did this. It can be kinda tricky though.. canceling and then getting a new flight before they are booked. He got lucky and we saved a bundle!

I just did it and I was scared to death but I did do it and saved only $40. Its better than nothing so now time to start planning where I will go with that

I understand, I'm always afraid I'll hit the wrong button.

I saw those fares. I told my DH, he is never picking a time to go again. I wanted to go in May. We could have had less crowds, use less points (DVC), and saved more money on airline tickets. But after almost thirty years, I guess I have to keep him.

We are going in May. Do you really think less crowds? Well Its only $40 savings but I do plan on going again!

How long is your trip? The very end of May I'm guessing will be busy. But Rowdy said last week the MK had at least 20,000 more people each day than expected. I'm thinking we will be enjoying more time with meals & resorts and less time trying to do rides. Of course we can easily kill an hour sitting on a bench staring across the water looking toward SSE.

5-21 5-26 Memorial Day weekend. We went this time last year and it wasnt too bad but this time I will have my mommom which is 72 and Aunt 60 ish so I may have to slow down a bit

Southwest is great with allowing you to rebook if the fare drops. Unless you have the fully refundable fare booked, you will only get the credit for another SW flight within 12 month of your original purchase date.

I do it all the time.

I think I may too. Im looking now for flights for coming home to drop. If I can get the $99 I pd to drop to $50 thats $200 for 4 people. Heck thats a ticket for a nice long weekend to Vegas

I did this last year and got a $100 credit. My DD used it in January, then rebooked and saved $20. My parents used her $20 credit and gave her the $20... seemed unfair to me!
