Renting a Car at WDW
We're renting a car for 2 days of our trip so DH can go see relatives. Since we'll already be at FW, was wondering if it would be better to use the on-site Alamo or send DH to the airport via Magic Express to pick up a car. If you do on-site rental, can you actually get to the Car Care Center? The other on-site option is the Dolphin, whcih should mean a good bus ride from FW with several transfers! Any suggestions? Thanks!

We rented from Alamo at the Dolphin 1 time a few years ago. We actually got really lucky and a bus driver took us to the Dolphin because it was really early and our bus was empty. We totally lucked out.. otherwise it would have been quite a hassle to get there. Once we got there the pick up and drop off couldn't have been easier.

We rented a car for a day a few years ago from the car care center. They have a shuttle bus that will pick you up and bring you back to your resort from the care care center. You just have to give them a day lead time as to what time to pick you up. It worked out very well.

We waited a VERY long time for a shuttle a couple of years ago.
Make sure you get the LOCAL number to the WDW location. While we had an 800 number, that office was closed on the weekend and we had to make quite a few calls to find a good number.

Try contacting your FW front desk and ask for a escort to Car Care center. Im sure one of their CMs would be happy to assist.
