Krispy Kreme at Orlando Airport Question...

We're looking forward to our trip and in looking at the Orlando Airport website I noticed there's a Krispy Kreme. While we're dyed-in-the-wool Dunkin's folks, we did taste Krispy Kreme donuts (don't get them up here) on a trip... Mmmm-mmm! Would the airport KK have a donut selection, too or do they just have the basic coffee & donuts shipped in from outside? Would love to get a couple dozen, but are taking ME & won't have a car...

I have never been to the Orlando airport... however, if there is a flashing sign... Stop and get donuts because they will be hot and fresh! The flashing sign can cause a wreck wherever it is located...

It's worth flying to Orlando just to get KK!

Re: Krispy Kreme at Orlando Airport Question...

Aren't they just the best doughnuts ever??!! I've flown in to the Orlando airport many times and have never seen a KK location; maybe they're just not located in my terminal since I always fly AA or SW. I will say that one time we bought a couple of doughnuts at the Marriott Courtyard near DTD and they were not good at all. They tasted like they were a couple of days old.

I don't think they have a ton of selection like DD does. I don't give their selection to much thought because I always want the classic yeast glazed and a chocolate glazed. Yummy! We endulged there just a few weeks ago.

I'm thinking you're right - and you have no idea how much courage it takes for me to get on a plane! Although, I do have to admit I'm packing 2 lbs. of Dunkins' coffee in my checked bag! But the cheesecake doughnuts and the chocolate iced with caramel filling... Actually, it's probably a good thing we don't have any up here...!

Re: Krispy Kreme at Orlando Airport Question...

Their main specialty is the plain glazed... Hot and fresh (as the sign says) I don't think that I have ever had any other kind of KK...

I love Krispy Kreme!!! That's why I wear big jeans! LOL

Top-Secret Krispy Kreme Information:
At the Orlando airport, grab a few boxes and throughout the week, you can set a single doughnut in the middle of the microwave for EXACTLY 7 seconds -- not the 8 or even 10 that the rest of my family prefers!!! -- and you will have a treat that is almost as good as having it straight out of the oil!

I can't get through vacation without DD coffee, too, and we take our own everywhere we go, even to my mom's house, where she is sure to be offended that we like our brand better than hers. It is a MUST for me to be able to start the day right. What is it about that coffee???

P.S. Starbucks now makes Pike Place coffee, a new brew that they think will attract some of DD's customers. It is good -- and for DD fans it is WAY better than the over-roasted coffees they usually serve at Bigbucks, er, I mean Starbucks. But is still isn't as good!

I used to have a morning paper route with a KK on it. Can you guess where I ate EVERY morning? The glazed were 3 cents!!! Filled were 5 cents.

You'll get there first - we come in the day before you leave. The airport map says it's on Level 3 by the food court...on the other side of Disney Earport! Sad how many times we have to go to work before we leave...!

Re: Krispy Kreme at Orlando Airport Question...

We tried the glazed doughnut (hot and ricght off the line!) but when we got a dozen we mixed in their NY Cheesecake (with graham cracker on top) and their Karamel Kreme Krunch (with toffee crunch on top). Mmmmmmm! I felt like Homer Simpson! Only got one of each though....the Locusts came through and scarfed everything. In fact, the other two times we got KK, they did the same thing!

Thanks for the microwave info - I was going to get 2 dozen & stick them in the freezer at the cabins (should they make it that far... ) Now we won't have to experiment! The coffe at Starbucks is bad enough for a DD person - but then you have to figure out how to order the stuff! At least at a new Dunkins, I know XL cream no sugar - so easy! At my local Dunkins, they just hand it to me and I hand them money...

Re: Krispy Kreme at Orlando Airport Question...

It must be me but i've tried KK and I would take DD over them any time if if the choice is KK or nothing then sorry to say it will be nothing. Being from where DD started it's just too tough to switch.
