Airfare booked - phew!

I just finished booking our airfare for our Free Dining 2008 trip! It ended up being $254 per person for nonstop from Boston to Orlando. Not the best rate I've ever gotten, but not too terrible considering the rate flights have been at lately!

I hate the airfare part of booking a trip so I will sleep easier now!

That's great to hear, it's always nice to get that one last part of a trip finalized.

Just two days ago I booked airfare for our December trip; $249 per person Detroit to Orlando nonstop. Not the best rate I've ever gotten either, but considering we're leaving early Sunday and coming back late on Saturday I didn't think it was too bad.

Re: Airfare booked - phew!

With the price of airfares these days, I would be very happy with that! Congratulations.

That is actually not bad. Airfare is really creeping up there. DH flys back and forth every week from Ft Myers to Detroit and it is quickly approaching 300.00 each way. Last year we used to find it consistently for 140.00.

Oh good I'm glad, that's always such a relief! Now that you have the airfare and the resort selection out of the way, you can actually start to relax a little bit right?

Re: Airfare booked - phew!

WOW! I hope I can find airfares in these ranges when I can finally book mine for November. I'm waiting for SW to open their schedule which won't be until late June .

That's a very good rate when you consider the times we are in. Now just remember the 15 dollars for the first checked bag!!!

I think that is only on American Airlines, all others charge you for the 2nd checked bag (I think)

I just booked my airfare for August to WDW too-from Hartford to Orlando on Delta-$334 per person, not direct flights
So NOT the best rate I've ever gotten, but it's the best I've seen in a LONG time-I've been pricing these flights for months-even Southwest keeps creeping up and I don't want to wait for dings because they will probably sell out before I get a chance to book.

Re: Airfare booked - phew!

Southwest looked like it creeped up a bit, but they have good sales if you wait. I wanted to wait because I thought i could get them at 80 but I was vetoed by the wife that DID NOT want to chance driving.

Re: Airfare booked - phew!

Airfare is the first thing on my list to book (after I book a trip). I just want to get it over with. This last time, I was waiting for SWA to post the time for when we were going. Got good rates, and as the cost of fuel is just going up and up, I am glad we booked early.

Re: Airfare booked - phew!

It is such a relief to get that part of the trip booked! That sounds like a pretty good price considering how the prices keep going up. We got our airfare whenever Southwest opened up September and we got ours for $595 for 3 people. Now, the price is up to $846 for the same flights. It's unreal, but at least it is taken care of!
