Last year we used TTC for our arrival/departure and they were fantastic...very helpful, friendly (and patient!).

We stopped off at a supermarket on the way (I think it was called Kash and Karry???), where we spent about 30 mins stocking up on supplies (and the driver did his shopping too).

All in all, a very good service, and we'll be using them from now on.

Don't forget the $5 discount coupon on the website!

I love all the positive reviews! We had made our reservations with Mears when we booked our FTP, but after spending so much time on DC I switched to Tiffany...Now I'm really glad I did! We reserved the van for 10 people - saved us a bunch!

I'll be sure to leave my comments after our trip in Oct.
:)

tiffany tipping?

We are currently planning our ground transportation from MCO to WDW. To anyone that has used Tiffany Town Car, how much tip is expected, do they add it to the rate, or do you pay by the bag?

Tiffany Taxi service

Based on all of the positive comments for TTS (and the delays we've had with Mears over the years) we have switched our December trip over to Tiffany. Thanks to all of you.

We generally do $10 each way. I figure it's about $40 each way so 20% of that is $8 so I just round it to $10. Especially since we tend to have lots of luggage to load up. Also, you never know if you're going to get the same driver each way so I always tip each one rather than adding the whole tip to the credit card up front.

We are going in December--Do TTC driver meet you right at the luggage area or some where else? How do we know where they are? Do they have a sign or something?? We were going to use Mears but with a group of 6 found TTC and decided to give them a try. With all of your great reviews--think we made the right decision. Will post when we get back. Can't wait.:) :) :)

They should be waiting at the bottom of the escalators as you go down to baggage claim. They will be standing there holding a sign with your name on it. They should help you get your luggage, and get you outside to the limo/van. Make sure you take Tiffany's 1-800 number, just in case.

I plan on using Tiffany for our December trip. How far in advance can you make the reservation?

You can make it now. If you know when your flights are, and which flight you are taking, let them know now.

Thanks,
We also canned Mears and reserved Tiffany for Christmas. I wish I had learned this years ago, We have never been satisfied with Mears. First you have to wait for the right bus, then wait some more. Then you might have to stop at other Airlines and pick up more stragglers. Then when you hit the road, you may have to stop at up to three or four other resorts. I don't think we're going to miss that. PLUS, Tiffany is still cheaper, even after tipping.

I used Tiffany on my last trip (2002) and can't believe I ever traveled to the world any other way from the airport. It was a pleasure to be greeted at baggage claim and taken directly to my resort instead of lugging everything and my DD by meyself down to Mears and then being forced to wait one hour for the bus to fill up. I also enjoy the $8.00 coupon I have in my passporter. It's a bargain to me. This year I am getting a limo to surprise my DD. She will get the biggest kick out of that.

Tiffany Town Car

This is GREAT to know. We are leaving soon and are using Tiffany for the 1st time. I am happy to read such a glowing review. It puts one less thing to stress about off my list.
Thanks:)

Yes, Tiffany is absolutely wonderful! We've used them twice now, and been very impressed.

The only disappointment was on our last trip, on our pickup day...somehow Tiffany apparently overbooked, so they had to send another company (I believe they were called Top One Towncar or something like that) to pick us up. The driver was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE!!! :madmad He also drove like a complete lunatic, nearly got in a wreck, and I was clamping onto the seat for fear of my life!!!

Let's hope Tiffany doesn't overbook any of you guys! :nervous

BTW...welcome to DC, judemac! :D
