Hi there! We've been to WDW many times but our trip in May will be the 1st time we'll be renting a car. We're staying at POFQ for 2 nites and then driving to the Vero Beach resort for 4 nites. My questions are: do you have to pay to park at the PO resort and do you pay to park at the theme parks?

Also, has anyone rented a car during their stay (instead of picking it up at the airport)? I read that National car rental has a Disney pick up location? B/c technically we really don't need a car until leaving for Vero. But does it just make sense to just pick up the car at the airport upon arrival?

Any input from experienced car renters would be great!!!!:D

I would just rent the car for the entire time. The savings for not renting a car for 2 days would be diminished by the expense of getting to the WDW Resort from the airport.

There is no charge for parking at the resort hotels. And resort guests receive complimentary parking at the parks if they decide to drive there.

Be sure to rent a car from a rental agency that has a desk in the terminal, or else you lose lots of time riding around the airport in a little bus to a satellite lot, where there can be a pretty long line...
We have gotten good rates with a AAA card, but sometimes if you tell them which frequent flier programs you use, some good rates come up that way, too. And sometimes the rates quoted when you call the airport rental desk directly are lower than when you go online!
