Booster seats on the plane and car?
Does anyone know if booster seats (as opposed to infant car seats) are allowed on the airplane? DD has graduated from car seat to booster and LOVES the booster - was hoping it would be OK to bring it along for the plane ride.
Also - what is FL law regarding children in booster seats? How old/heavy do they have to be to legally use one there? |

Check with your airline regarding their policy...we flew Delta last year, and their policy was "as long as it is FAA approved." Our booster seat was FAA approved as a car seat, with the harness, but was not approved as a booster. Check the instruction guide that came with the seat, or check the manufacturers website if you aren't sure if it is FAA approved.
No idea about FL law though. -boo

I am pretty sure that most airlines would allow them on the plane. I cannot imagine why not. Worst Case Scenario: You get to the airport and they tell you that you will have to check the car seat.

I would not use a booster seat in a plane since the seatbelts are lapbelts. I would think this would be dangerous unless you use the harnesses. I'm guessing you don't use the harnesses since your DD is so excited about her new booster. If you need your booster in Orlando and don't want to check it with your luggage, you can always check it at the gate. Definitely check with your airline carrier.
