Dream Maker Choice Features

OK - We're doing the Dreamaker 5+2 plan for our trip. So I'm wondering what do you choose if you've done this before. Even if you haven't done it before which would you choose.

1. Disney Poster (only 1 per room - not good for us 2 kids)

2. Up to 2 images on Leave a Legacy Tile at Epcot

3. Mini golf at Fastasia Gardens or Winter/Summerland

4. $25 off on Planet Hollywood meal between 11am-6pm

Comments and suggestions welcome. I'm leaning towards the mini golf I think the kids would enjoy that best. And it's about $8 a game for the kids and $10+ for adults so it looks like that would be the biggest cost saver for us.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

I would put the 2 kids on a leave a legacy tile. We have the same package but 3 kids so I am not sure what we'll do, Maybe dad and I will do the leave a legacy tile or maybe the planet hollywook thing. We aren't really into minigolf. Last year the package included a really nice, framed piece of artwork with a pin . This year the gifts seem kind of cheesy.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

IMO, the legacy tiles are the only one that's really worth anything.

The posters are just posters. We'll probably mount one of them (we had two rooms), but honestly, I wasn't all that impressed. I suppose the mini-golf could be cool as well, so long as you can find the time. We didn't on either trip.

I wouldn't eat at Planet Hollywood on a bet, so clearly that's out of the picture for me.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

I would go with the Leave a Legacy tile too. We have done the Fantasia mini-golf several times. It's very nice. But in the end, it is just mini-golf. We really like eating at Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. It's our favorite DTD place to eat (much better than now-closed one we had in STL). But in the end, it's just a restaurant. Posters are posters. But with the Legacy tile, you would have a part of you at Disney permanently (or until they remove them - lol).

No idea what the charge would be or can the tiles only hold 2 images?

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

I think they only hold 2 images, which is why we haven't done it before. We are a family of 5 and that means 3 tiles and who would get one by themselves??I think I read they are to be up for 20 years, but I wasn't sure if that meant 20 years from when they started or you get yours up for 20 years.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

We have 3 kids and I think we are going to let our oldest be on a tile alone and our two youngest together!!!

We are doing the silver plan so we do not want the $25 gift card to Planet Hollywood and 1 poster for 3 kids does not work either!!! And I do not think we will have time for the mini golf!!!

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

Well, I haven't used any of the extras on the 2 packages I've had. I just kept forgetting about them. I believe however for this trip coming up in October 2005 we'll do the tile and put Emilie on it. It will be her 5th birthday celebration so I thought that would be a good way to commerate it. She's only child and I wouldn't want to chose between me and DH so she can get it all too herself.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

We've done the tile. How many more do we need? But stupid me, I misread the vouchers and tossed the one that would have done the golf or food at Planet Hollywood. Last year, in order to use everything up, we left with doggie bags from House of Blues (our last extra meals) and Planet Hollywood (it was raining and we couldn't play golf). Who needs the poster?

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

I'd go for the poster, but I see that doesn't really work for you. In that case, I'd go for the mini golf. Fantasia is my favourite.

Re: Dream Maker Choice Features

I did this package last winter and let DD pick what she wanted. She got the poster. The poster is gorgeous however, and coudl be framed and shared amoung the entire family. I framed my DD's and it hangs in her room. You could have the characters sign it, put it in a fram and hang it somewhere everyone goes in the house. Date it and presto, memento for everyone to share.
