grocery stores?

Does anyone know if there are any grocery stores near downtown disney? Or in between there and the airport? There probably is nothing in walking distance but is there a certain company that will pick u up at the airport and stop at a grocery store at no charge.....i thought i read that in another forum somewhere???????

I think you might be referring to the free grocery stops that are offered by the 2 most popular limo services. Both QuickSilver and Tiffany will stop for 30 minutes at a grocery store on the way from the airport to your resort.

Are you renting a car or are you getting a ride from the airport?

no we arent planning on renting a car while we are down there.....the guys want to get a limo to pick us up and bring us back to the airport, but who knows, but us girls are trying to be a little more realistic

If you're staying on-site, then you MUST rent a limo. IMO, it's the ONLY way to do it. It's cheaper than a taxi and a whole lot more convenient.

Hey Matt,
Im new to this limo service thing, are we suppose to give 20% each way for a tip? This place isnt expensive at all and all the extras def. make it worth it!!!

Their is a Goodings supermarket within walking distance of DTD. Its not too bad of a walk.

20% is a good solid tip. So, for Quicksilver, that would be $10 each leg.

If you have a car,take SR 536 out of Disney. when you get to the 7/11,make a right. That is SR 535. At the end of SR 535 is a Publix Supermarket.

Disneylover... Gooding's Supermarket is SO GREAT!!! It has everything, including alcoholic beverages, and this cool colored swirl bread that makes a really happy sandwich! You will see what I am talking about when you get there! There is lots of gourmet stuff, and basic stuff as well.

I would also highly recomend Publix!!! They always have great deals, and the best food. (Try the Publix branded stuff... It is great!!).

I would recomend Quicksilver over Tiffany's. We have gotten many reports saying that Quicksilver is just better. A limo service isn't too, too bad, but have you thought about a towncar?? Or would you not all fit??
