We are going to WDW in about 60 days and we want to have Mickey send our 4 year old son a letter to tell him that we are coming. Has anyone sent a letter to their kids or have any suggestions on what we should say? Any help you can give will be great. Thanks

Maybe try calling your resort directly. That is where I would start.

I have helped Mickey compose a letter or two. If you want it authentic, I'll be happy to "help" mickey send them one. If you aren't comfortable with that, you can do your own. Here is what I help mickey write

Dear "child's name",

Minnie just told me that you are coming to see us on "date you are going". I am very excited and can't wait to see you. Goofy is getting your room ready at the "resort you are staying at". I can't wait for you to see our new show Philarmagic. Make sure you look for me and all of my friends in the parks and in the parades.

of course you can add little tib-bits about your child like "I heard you got a A on that hard test. Keep up the good work.....something like that. My Dd who is 10, still gets a kick out of the letter that Pooh sends her before our trips....even if she knows it's me..lolol

I've just read a bit of the PCP thread and just wanted to say how sweet it was. It's a really good idea and although I don't have children can imagine how magical it would be.

That is such a cute idea!!! I used to get letters from the tooth fairy and I still have them. I got so excited when I found them under my pillow! I can't imagine what I would have done if I'd gotten a letter from Mickey! You have one lucky son. :)

I know this isn't the type of letter you are looking for, but your post made me remember it...

About a year ago I sent two pictures my 4 year old DD drew to Mickey and Minnie to the address below. About six weeks later she recieved a letter from each back. They were both addressed to her (which I thought was pretty good since they were pictures her name was only on the return address) and had an 8 x 10 black and white of the character at Disneyland autographed to her by the character. There was also a generic letter describing events at DL but seeing as we are AP holders and she was young she did not realize they were generic and thought she was getting personal invites from M & M. My husband laughed at us when we first mailed, but being Disney I just knew we would get something back. What a treat for her!!

You do not have to be a kid to get a postcard from a pixie. I get them all the time. It never fails to make my day.

Thanks for your help. I have started composing a letter and I have a friend in Orlando who told me that she will mail it for me so that it has an Orlando post mark. It may fool the 16 year old. LOL
