Does anyone remember discovery island? I remember it well, a neat place where you could see exotic birds and giant tortuises(I hope I spelled that right, lol)...what has happened to it? Does anyone know? Let me here from ya!

It's still there. If you take the boat from WL or FW to MK, you'll go right past it. My understanding is it's used just as a wildlife sanctuary now.

We visited it years ago. I thought it was very interesting and a quiet, nice break from the parks. My kids, however, stoked up on Disney excitement, were less than impressed.

Remember the big huge turtles they had there. That place was awesome. Felt like you were inside the bird cage walking along the catwalks looking up at the nets overhead.

I went to DI with my girl scout troop way back when. I don't remember much about it but I know I liked it. Kinda sad I only got to go once... by the way, thanks for the sites, DarthTortoise, they're great. :)
