construction at Typhoon Lagoon?

Just curious if anyone knows what they are building at Typhoon Lagoon. I saw work being done as the bus I was on went through the parking lot.

I Havent a clue but Im gonna go and do a little research on it and I'll try to get back with you. I may even call the actual resort to try and find out. :-)

Not totally sure, but isn't it closed right now for refurb?? One of the water parks is.

nope TL is still open, as for the construction it has been rummored for a few months now with nothing confirmed that they will begin construction in early NOV of a water roller coaster similar to the one they have in Texas the master blaster if you watch the travel chanel its on there top 10 water parks as I think #1. I will see what I can find out about this as well.

oh wow!!!! woo-hooo!!! That water coaster has some way of getting you going so fast that you can actually go uphill in a a water shute! I saw it on the Travel Channel too!!! Way to go Disney!

Last I heard, TL is open and BB is closed for refurbishment.
It was on Disney's main site!

So, then TL will be the one open in the winter? Hope so. That's the one the kids are the most interested in.

I'm pretty sure - not positive - but pretty sure that TL was closed for refurbishment last January, so I would assume that next January it will be BB that will be closed.

woah, if its the water roller caoster Im thinking of thats like an awsome looking one. Its the one that is like a blue/green color and you sit in rafts and are shot up hills by water, just like a regular roller coaster.

You are right. It was TL last year that was closed. The kids are going to be so excited as is John who is taking them there to freeze

Our best memory is being at BB on New Years Day 00'. I even brought my resort pillow to relax in the sun - remember it was the day after New Years Eve at EPCOT, a late night!. It was warm and beautiful, unlike our family up in the snowy weather.

A water coaster would be awesome. Last I heard TL was open and BB is closed for refurb. Im looking forward to finding out what their doing.

Totally- it's a master blaster slide, but will be heavily themed unlike the one in Texas. I'm sure it's got a different layout design than the one in Texas as well. It should be great, and will put TL back on top of all waterparks as they already have the unique wave pool.
