La Nouba

Has anyone seen La Nouba? Is it worth the $85.00?

Re: La Nouba

I have seen it and it is very good. But I would not pay the $85.00. I saw it as a CM, which they gave me a free ticket to go and see it. If you want to see it they sell it on DVD. :

Re: La Nouba

Yes I would spend that much to see any Cirque show. There really is no other entertainment experience that is it's equal. There's a reason why I have this name, and it's from being in the concert business for 25 years now. If something excites me this much, it must be good. By the way, the DVD of La Nouba is NOT the complete show, but a documentary of the show with show footage, unlike some other DVDs which are the complete show on the cover. There are cheaper seats as well.

Thanks for the input. Maybe we will give it a try. Which section would you recommend?

Re: La Nouba

I would recomend Category 3 seating, in the lowest section that is Cat 3, and is on the far left when looking at the stage. We sat there, and on the bottom row, and those were some of the best seats in those house if you ask me. The were at Cat 3 prices, but basically Cat 2 level.

Re: La Nouba

IMO, Cique is worth it, even at the Category 1 prices. However, other than some of the restricted view seats way off the the left and right of the auditorium (and the other thing you can't see fully is the rear of the stage) there truly aren't any bad seats.

Disneyguy is absolutely correct that any Cat 3 seat that is near a Cat 2 section is a great deal. Also, if you can get front row seats right on the aisle which goes around the middle of the auditorium, the "parade" which opens the show will go right by you.

Matt, that is right where we were, and it really made for a great finale as well.

Re: La Nouba

DisneyGuy -

Sounds like the seats you are described are similar to the ones we have for 12/4. The first time I saw La Nouba, we were seated on the floor, stage right, a few rows up. These were nice because the performers interact with you some of the time, but for some acts, you didn't get the full effect. I am looking forward to seeing the show again with my DBF, who will be seeing it for the first time!

Re: La Nouba

Any Cirque show is fantastic! 85. is about twice what I paid to see Allegira. The DVD does not give you anything like the real experience, which in simply indescriabable! Allegria and maybe some of the other cirque shows travel to other cities. Look out for it. But, regardless it is a not to be missed experience.

Re: La Nouba

La Nouba is quite simply without a shadow of a doubt the best thing in Disney. Saltimbanco and Dralion will be in the UK very soon, and I'll be there!!!!

Re: La Nouba

I'm waiting for them to announce Varekai in Miami. Usually Cirque lands downtown during February, but it looks like they won't this year. We've had Quidom and Alegria already. Once I get out to Vegas, there's 3 shows currently and one in production right now, so, guess I'll have plenty to do at night besides gamble.

I haven't seen it (except what was on Bravo) but, my FIL went to see it at DTD, and he said it was the best show he's ever seen. Ever.
He loved it.

Re: La Nouba

I've seen La Nouba twice (back when the seats were about $60) and recommend it highly. We sat where Matt described both times, first row above the aisle, and it was like being on the stage when the performers paraded by.

I've also seen "O", Mystere, Varekai, and Drallion. In my opinion, La Nouba was the best of the shows. In January, we will be traveling to Las Vegas to see Ka, and Zumanity. We'll see how they compare to the others!
