Lost & Found in DDD/Marketplace/Pleasure Island

Does the Lost and Found work the same here as in the rest of the Parks-I understand that most items are kept for 1 month then they are removed. Where are the items taken to after one month?

I am sure lost and found works the same at DD as the rest of WDW.

I believe the unclaimed lost and found items are sold. I think Cast Members can buy the lost and found items after a certain length of time. Any CMs out there?

Those items go to Property Control and yes, CM's can purchase them. They have a huge warehouse full of those lost and found items and also the discontinued and broken merchandise for sale to CM's.

Ohh, ok. Are there any CM's out there that I wouldn't mind looking for somthing for me? I have a photo of a stuffed puppy that we lost last trip (at DDD/Marketplace/Pleasure Island) and ds thinks that the puppy will be waiting for him. I suppose the chances are slim that he's still around though.

I left my hat on RnRCoaster last year on a Saturday. On Sunday we went back to Disney MGM, but were told that all lost items are taken to the central lost and found in the TTC in the same building as the kennel. If you're still in WDW, take a run up there and see if it's there.

Ahh, sadly, this was a year ago this December that we lost good old "Chester". When we went to look for him the following day at the Marketplace etc there was no record of him ever being returned, and after we got home I inquired again, with no luck. I have a feeling someone scooped him up and brought him home instead of returning him to the lost and found. Sadly, I've kept my hopes up for the last year thinking that we still might find him. Disney is Magical!

I once lost a solid gold chain, at TL and never seen it again. It was worth alot, and I am sure some one wore it home. My stupidy...
