Guest of Honor Pins

The Guest of Honor pins are a thing of the past. The CM's at DTD said they did away with them a few months ago.

Wow, that's too bad. I'm glad my girls got them on our last trip. I wonder why they discontinued them.

I am glad we've got our pins. I just hope they don't break. My DW's pin snapped last year and I bought her a replacement. Won't be so lucky now.

Wow. That's news. They've been saying they were "out of stock" for the past few months. What a shame if they discontinued them for good. We'll have to take really good care of the ones we have.

I got mine at one of the outlets in Belz, last summer. I'm not sure if they still had any in Dec. or not.

Maybe they are making a whole new design for the big 50th celebration? Wouldnt surprise me.

No. I think the birhday pin is a special one you get free at guest services if you tell them you are having a birthday. Guest of Honor pins are red pins very similar to a CMs that have the kids names engraved on them. The kids love to wear them because they get a little extra special attention from most CMs and the CMs can call them by name.

I had heard this rumor before that they were discontinued. I don't know if they are redesigning them or what but they have been out for a long time.

I had ordered the Princess one for myself & DD but have 3 sons that needed something. I'm basically paranoid that nothing will be available when I need it (even though it's not until July but the way things are going!!

) so I went to Speedy print and made something up on my own and I like it *much* better.

I put the red background, and they have this graphic of a little kid with a play sword, robe & crown, riding a stick horse and I added "Prince In Training" for my 1 year old and his name and then did the exact same design with "Everyday Prince" for my older 2. Since the Princess one says "Everyday Princess".

They aren't *quite* Disney World souveniors but I think they will still be cute and work the same as the Guest of Honor pins.

Now if they come up with something for the 50th I like.....

I'm glad we got ours in October. We didn't get one for my DH. He didn't want one then but now he wants one. I guess he won't get one now.

Just to clarify, two CM's told me that the pins are discontinued, no longer available, gone. Not simply out of stock.

I did go to Belz, and they did have a section of unsold pins. However, when you see the names still available, you'll understand why they haven't sold. (So all you Gretta's out there get to Belz ASAP!)
