Miniature Golf Anyone???

When our family goes to WDW in August we are planning on taking a day to "relax" by starting off with breakfast at Chef Mickey's, a few hours at Blizzard Beach (more like 6 hrs), Dinner at Ohana's, and then we want to play miniature golf. Has anyone played at any of the courses? Which would be best, most fun?

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

We play at Fantasia every year and have a great time! It's lots of fun - watch out for the water fountains. I've never played Winter-Summerland, because I have to deal with real snow every winter - I don't want to see fake stuff in Florida.

I've always wanted to do Fantasia. We can just never fit it in.

They are both great, you should have fun either place.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

Appreciate the info...I just went out to some web sites and checked out photos and such on the courses, I think Fantasia looks like more fun, so we'll give that course the nod.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

I have played both and liked Winter Summerland better. If you have kids with you they might prefer this one to Fantasia. Also, Winter Summerland offers 2 different courses, while I think Fantasia only has one themed course.

I tend to agree. WS has some nice "surprises" too.

Perhaps a poll is in order. Or, just try a course at both.

See...now you have me second guessing all ready, I will have to do some more research at home tonight with DW, she makes most of the decisions anyways If she is happy, I am happy!!!

We like both the WDW courses, and there is a really great course at the other end of the Goodings Mall (just outside the WDW property line at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd...) It is called something pirate-y like Pirate's Cove or Treasure Cove. It is incredibly fun!

That's my top choice due to price. If you get a coupon... wow!

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

The 2004 Birnbaum guide to WDW had a coupon in the back of it for a discount of 10 percent off for 4 at either Fantasia or WS golf courses. So the 2005 version probably has one too. I am crazy for Christmas stuff so Winter-Summerland course apealled to me. We went after a day at Blizzard Beach. When it closed at 6, we dried off walked right out the front gates, veered to the left and there we were. So easy to get to. We had great fun. And it was just a short ride back to our room at All Star Sports. (I think that's the closest hotel to BB and WS.) Next time we are there though we are trying the Fantasia course.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

I am not sure, but I think Fantasia has 2 courses as well. I played there a couple of years ago and the course we played was INCREDIBLY challenging. It had sand traps and water hazards. It was fun, but SO frustrating and we were 3 adults playing!! If your kids are little, you might want to check and see if there is a 2nd, slightly easier course at Fantasia Gardens or go with Winter Summerland.

Have fun!

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone???

I like all 3 courses, but Fantasia is usually busier, so we hit winter/summerland. I also like the Winter course because its all snowy at 100 degrees. Too cool!!!

See, that's why I don't care for Disney's winter themes (Blizzard Beach & WS). I go to Florida to get away from winter!!!!
