Re: Disney Quest Question

Thanks for all the great advice! It helps so much! I am so excited to know that they have skee-ball, I love that! Any ideas how much it costs to do the extra's? If we do the Animation Academy class do you get to keep your drawing or do you have to pay for it? Do you have to buy everything you create in the creat zone? Thanks to all of you - again!

Re: Disney Quest Question

I believe you get to keep your drawings but we paid $12.00 for the VHS tape of the Virtual Space Mountain ride. Nothing costs extra there otherwise. Food does.

Re: Disney Quest Question

My brother is coming to Disney with us in Dec along with his 3 yr old son. Someone told him to be sure to take his son to Disney Quest. I have not been before but always had the impression it was more for older kids and adults. Is there something there that would appeal to the younger set??

Thanks for any help.

We love DQ. our DD's did a couple of things that they wanted to buy. 1 was the drawing class, DD wanted to buy her picture i think it was $5 but no more than $10 but she also go loads of other cool stuff for the money. There was a book of how to draw disney charactors and a nice frame (carboard) to keep her picture in. My other DD made a Cd and there was a cost for her to get that but it wasn't over the top!

One other tip if you go to the top floor(where they sell yummy cheesecake!!!) buy a refillable DQ drink. I think it was about $4 and the refills were $1. Play in DQ is very thristy work! When we first went, we didn't think we would be there long but we were in there over 5 hours. It is now apart for our trip it is a good way of a slow day!

Re: Disney Quest Question

A wonderful part of going to DQ is we want to visit the Cheesecake Factory. But thanks for the tip about the refillable mug. That will be a must have.

Re: Disney Quest Question

We all love DQ! Go during the day when the crowds are low! With any luck, you'll feel like you have the place to yourself! After 5 in the afternoon, the crowds start hitting.

Re: Disney Quest Question

We love Disney Quest!!! There is just so much to do. Plus, there are so many interactive things you can do. Our ds did the make your own song thingy and it was pretty cool. My favorite is the build your own virtual roller coaster and dh's fav is the virtual pirate's of carribean. But, this entire building is wonderful.

When you get in the elevator (as you enter the building), Genie is very entertaining :)

We were at WDW for a week last year and had passes which included DQ. My DH and I decided not to go there because we read of a height requirement of 52 inches for many of the virtual rides. I have 2 kids ages 7 & 5 and we felt they would be frustrated at not being able to go on these rides. Is this height requirement true?? Is there enough to do for kids below this size?? We are planning a trip this October for a week including MNSSHP and are considering a stop at DQ. What is a good day of the week and time of day to go there?? thanks for the info!!
