Sea Raycers

Does anyone know the cost of renting these off of the top of your head? We aways SAY we're going to rent them and we never have because we always get caught up with other stuff and forget. This time we're going to make sure we get around to it!

Re: Sea Raycers

They are about $20 for a half hour. They are a lot of fun, my DH and DS have a blast with them.

Re: Sea Raycers

I wonder if they are available to travel to DTD. That would be cool. I love the boat ride from POR to DTD.

They do have them at DTD, but you can't travel very far, like to another resort or anything.
I know the rule is you are only allowed to go back to the dock you rented from, so you can't get out and visit other places.

PS - the best place to rent one would be at any of the MK resorts - Bay Lake has a lot of room to roam, as opposed to say the Beach Club where the lake area is much smaller.

They are a blast!!

Re: Sea Raycers

I agree, the boats at the MK resorts seem to have the most room to drive around. I also think all the resorts got new boats in the last year or so.

Hey guys!

You've all been so helpful! Thank you so much! SKWAK, I'm doing the same. Building it into our itinerary instead of leaving it as a "oh, well if we have time...." Are you an organizer like me? I have EVERY day laid out. A lot of our itinerary revolves around where we are planning to eat. I LOVE food. It's a wonder I fit through doorways and that my 5'8" frame doesn't carry more than 145 pounds. ;-)

Re: Sea Raycers

I always build in a boat day or it doesn't seem to happen. It's so much fun and so worth it but easy to miss if you don't plan for it.

Re: Sea Raycers

Definately plan for it guys, you won't be dissappointed.

Oh , and if you want to go out as a family , those pontoon boats are a great way to all get together and cruise.
We will probally do 2 hours of just that next year.

Re: Sea Raycers

We always take time out to do other activites. We also enjoy the surrey bikes or just taking a walk.
Hey WDWnutcase....no we do not organize and plan. We are a take it as it comes kindof couple. The only planned thing we do is go straight to Mexico and have lunch after we check in. After that..we just go with the flow.

Sorry to hijack:

I am a pretty active planner when it comes to WDW. I think it would be great if we could all somehow share our planning formats! I actually use the Microsoft Word Calendar template and color code the larger activities.

We actually don't schedule too many food events but we snack all darn day!! The good part is that we have found that walking 7 to 11 miles a day at WDW counteracts Mickey Head ice creams, pretty well!

Re: Sea Raycers

We loved the WaterMice so much, we rented them for an hour - twice - on our trip! They are such a blast!! Renting them from the Poly or Contemp is the best because then you have all of Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon to roam.

FYI...if you think you're going to enjoy them...which I guarantee you will!...an hour is only around $32. Pay for the hour ahead of time, and you'll be glad you did. 30 minutes just goes by way too fast! And it'll save you a bundle of bucks rather than going back and shelling out another $20 for an extra half hour.

The WaterMice are a MUST DO for me from now on!!

Re: Sea Raycers

Awesome!

We're definitley looking at an hour. We have a "down" day on Wednesday the 21st, so i'll be scheduling us for then.

SKWAK, I generally just write it all out in in MS Word almost like a flight itinerary. It's pretty detailed. ;-)
