Miniature Golf Anyone?

I know that there are two miniature golf courses at WDW, one just outside Blizzard Beach but I have some questions. Where exactly is the second one? How do you get to them if you are using only Disney Transportation? Is the one at BB part of the beach? If not any idea how much the cost is? Anyone done this? The one outside BB looks fun as you ride the bus past. lol

Thanks for any info!

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone?

Fantasia Golf is at the Swan hotel. We played one of its courses and had a great time. They have a traditional putt-putt course and one that is really a minature golf course. That one is quite challenging. We went to MGM and took the boat over to the Swan and walked from the Swan. You can do DTD, but those buses take a while and make MANY stops. Not really worth the trip that way. Go to MGM. You can even walk from there.

I want to say the cost was $12, but with the AP we got a discount.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone?

The best way is to go to Disney Studio then take the boat to the Swan then walk over to it. When you get to the Swam/Dophin dock turn left to the walkway then right and head past the pool to the exit to the street then cross the street to the course. It now $12.

Check the MGM closing time though. The boats only run back to MGM until about 15 minutes after it closes. If you will be later than that, you'll have to take the DTD Buses. I used to work on those boats (Friendships) and this would surprise a lot of people.

No, it is just outside of BB and is a separate cost. It is called Winter Summerland and has two courses, both Christmas themed:

Winterland - Themed to winterfun such as toboggan races, skiing and snowmen.

Summerland - Themed to beach fun. The elves are on vacation and are enjoying swimming, surfing and building sand castles.

Lots of fun!

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone?

Haven't done the one at BB (I believe it's called Winter Summerland or something like that) but we did the Fantasia one in December. It was lots of fun & a nice break from the parks. Remember that they offer discounts for various things at various times, so ask. I think our annual pass got us like half off, & I'm thinking DVC might get you something but I'm not sure.

We've played at both and had a blast. Only thing was we got attacked by these horrible flies when the sun went down.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone?

I've played both courses at Fantasia Gardens and really had fun. We stayed at the Swan which just moments away from FG. It is some good family fun outside the Disney theme parks.

Which course is better for kids who are not golf pros? I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old and want them to enjoy themselves too.

Either course at Winter Summerland is good for kids since they are pretty easy. The Fantasia Gardens course is pretty easy too, but harder than Winter Summerland, but the scenery and Music is fantastic! The Fantasia Fairways is HARD! It is set up to look like a normal golf course. It looks great, but it is nearly impossible to do well on that course. You can have fun, but if you have impatient kids, I'd stick with the Gardens or Winter Summerland.

Re: Miniature Golf Anyone?

If you get a chance to go offsite, try Pirate's Cove or Congo River. Congo River has real alligators in the course!
