Where can I buy a few gallons of milk to keep in my refrig at the Poly for my DD and DS? We're taking the Magical Express from the airport so I won't have the compimentary stop at a grocery store as I did when I came in by towncar.

There are small stores at every resort on Disney property. It's more expensive at the resort store but you're paying for convenience. Joe

And that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. What they charge on property for milk is ridiculous!

How about grocery delivery? I'm going to order from GardenGrocer.com for our May trip. Their minimum order is $40 plus a $10 delivery fee. Their prices aren't bad--cheaper than at the resorts.

There is none..
The closest one will be the Goodings in the cros roads by downtown D. And there prices are going to be just like in the resorts.The only other option will be a win dixie on apopka vineland just about 3/4 of a mile from that same goodings(whn coming out of hotel plaza blvd you make a left at the trafic light for the winn dixie or strait for the goodings)
I used to take people all the time to the winn dixie when i was in a DCL bus because they use those buses for charters so i could get away with it but not the same on a DME bus they are only suposed to be inside Disney and you can get in trouble.

HMM let me look Sat to verify this, But there is a hess gas station just a quick cab ride away from the Polynesian that I think sells milk and there prices are very reasonable.

My other recomendation would be to go to the WL and use there shop as I'm almost certain the one at your resort does not sell milk.

Hess would be your best bet. We stopped there on our last trip and got much better prices on pop and milk. I believe we stopped at the Hess outside of the MK the most.

Hmm... I'm interested in this too...

Can you get meats and bread at these spots too? We were hoping to find a spot so that we could just make sandwiches in our hotel for when we go to the parks to cut down on expenses. We'd be staying at either Hotel Royal Plaza or Doubletree (both on hotel plaza blvd) and wouldn't have a rental car...

Maybe this isn't doable though.

Now there is the new and improved goofys candy factory, actually that store is still there if memory serves but its not quite a grocery store place anymore.

That's what I pay here in Chicago for millk....even more. How much would a cab ride over there be....any idea?

What about the gas station at DtD? It's just across the road and you could get a bus to DtD then it is a little walk if you are at the marketplace end. Would this not work out cheaper than a taxi ride?

Yes you could travel to the one at DTD via disney transport, however it would proably take 1 hour just in bus ride time and at least another 1/2 walking and in the store.

The cab fare round trip I'm not sure, but my rough guess would be less the $10, but I could be wrong on that. You could ask bell services upon checkin for a more acurate price they deal with it on a regular basis.

The closest thing we found to a grocery store is on the Boardwalk, they sell milk, I think bread and other goodies. I can't remember the name of the store. Also there is a Hess station across the street from the enterance to The Boardwalk. I have found their gas prices are better than the stations outside Disney.
