Which Water Park should we choose?

We are planning a 4 day trip to WDW in mid August and want to spend one day at a Water Park. There will be 6 of us going. Myself, DW, 10 year old daughter, 8 year old daughter, 8 year old son (twins) & 2 year old daughter.
Which water park would you recommend for our family?

My family enjoys Typhoon Lagoon the best. I personally enjoy floating in the lazy river there!

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

They are both great, but we do prefer Typhoon Lagoon for a few reasons- wave pool and Lazy River!

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

Personally, I was not impressed with Typhoon Lagoon. It seems Blizzard Beach has a lot more to do. BB still has a lazy river and it seems they have a lot more slides. But definitely remember to wear sunglasses at BB, that sun and white "snow" can blind you sometimes

My kids (DS7 and DD10) both prefer Blizzard Beach (and they are water park fanatics). I prefer the theming at Typhoon Lagoon.

Blizzard has a bit more to offer. However, the toddler area for your 2 year old is MUCH better at Typhone in my opinion.

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

Typhoon Lagoon is much more family-oriented. I loved BB too, but TL will always win for me, especially if there are children 10 and under involved. It's a calmer atmosphere with more family-oriented slides, and more shade to protect all that vulnerable skin!

Isn't it funny how we all perceive things differently. We hated the toddler area at the Typhoon Lagoon. It was very dirty when we were there. I am personally not a fan of the sand either. Also, there were bigger kids always shooting the water cannons toward the little kids. My DD2 at the time (3 next month) didn't have anywhere near the fun at Typoon that she did at Blizzard Beach. We loved the toddler area there. It seems much bigger with more room to play. We are doing 2 waterpark days on our next trip and both will be to Blizzard Beach.

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

For your age kids, I think TL is the best choice. Once they become teens, BB has some really excellent intense slides. The slides at TL are milder, but still very exciting. Pluls, the "Shark Reef" experience is so great for the little kids. And the wave pool is bigger at TL, so they can find the exact depth they like without a crowd.

NOTE: The BB area for your 2-year-old is set a little apart from the res tof the action... the TL area feels like it is righ tin the thick of things (fun!), and there also is an intermediate slide area that feeds into a pool off the wave pool, so your little one can get that wave pool feeling and slide and feel like part of the big kids' area!

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

As much as I love them both, if pressed to choose, I'd pick TL. I like the themeing better and I love the wave pool.

As far as you Boss, your kids can't go wrong at either one, there are big thrills and places to relax at both.

Re: Which Water Park should we choose?

It seems like BB has more slides that kids of all ages and heights can do but the wave pool is a lot of fun at TL. I think I would vote for BB but you can't go wrong either way.
