Strollers @ DTD?

So the questionj my wife insists I post is do they have rental strollers at DTD? It is a valid question in every sense but lets not be confused that whether or not they have them we will not be spending copius amounts of coin there. Who are we kidding?

So do they have rental strollers at DTD?

You are welcome! You can get a stroller at Guest Services near Team Mickey or near Wetzel's Pretzels on the West Side.

Re: Strollers @ DTD?

And, just to add, the strollers at DTD are nicer than at MK. We were there with the in-laws in November, went to DTD, and ended up renting a single there at the last minute for my two year old. Well worth it!

Layneysdad - have you thought of just bringing your own. We used to swear by doing that (kids are way too old to need one now). A great umbreall stroller can be had for a fraction of the cost of renting over the course of your vacation, and you will be able to use it in the airport and resort as well.

I only fear lugging it around when for $16 I can just rent for a week. Delaney will be to wired to sit still at the airport a stroller would be useless there. An airport full of kids going to Disney, sheesh, she be everyones friend!

Where can you rent a stroller for the week for $16? Each rental day at a park is over $10! I just purchased a nice stroller at a consignment shop for $20 (lightweight, reclining seat, HUGE underseat storage). This past December, I spent a FORTUNE on stroller rental. I decided my $100 is better spent at Artist Point!

My understanding is there is one price you can pay for a rental stroller for your lenght of stay at the Disney parks. You pay say $16(my Guess)-$20 and have access to strollers at each park for your length of stay. You just have to hold on to your reciept and show it at each Guest Service. You are not issued one stroller for the whole stay you just pick up and drop off strollers as needed at the entrances.

BTW I read about this in the "Unofficial Guide".

I wish I could tell you that the pay-in-advance tickets will only cost you $16- the price has gone up! I can't remember what we paid, but I think it was like $45 for 6 rental days. Also- during peak times, WDW temporarily suspends this discount. For example, in December, they don't offer it.

Re: Strollers @ DTD?

Per Allearsnet.com
Stroller rentals cost (prices current as of January 2006):

At the theme parks:

Single or infant (newborn to 9 months) strollers: $10/day (no deposit) OR $8/day Length of Stay rental

Double strollers: $18/day (no deposit) OR $16/day Length of Stay rental

At Downtown Disney:

Single or infant (newborn to 9 months) strollers: $10/day (with $250 credit card imprint required for deposit); $8/day Length of Stay rental (limited quantity) Note: Double strollers are not available.
***************************************
$8/per day for the length of stay. So in my case $56. I must have misread something before. Needless to say it is still less than $10 per day and still may beat luggin on around.
