Here is the link to our recent trip to BBB... I have many suggestions... but DON'T go with the 175.00 package... instead go with the middle package and buy the CD... Go to the picture location in DTD, and have them take all the great pictures, but then just get the CD... You will have to purchase the dress separately, but it is the better deal... IMHO...

I was racing through Walmart yesterday and from the corner of my eye - in the toy department - I noticed Princess dresses (the real Disney thing). Not having little kids anymore, I'm not in Toys too often and I don't know whether Walmart's always carried them or this is a new thing. I didn't check the price.

Re: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

The Disney store is carrying Princess costumes or dress up dresses right now for $24.50 ( I beleive) and they should suffice. It is probably the same kind of thing you will get there but they will charge you $150 more for!!!

Re: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

thought i'd add my 2 cents in about the costumes since we've been searching high and low for an ariel costume for my dd for mnsshp....

the ones the disney store has right now are ballet costumes...like a leotard and tulle covering the bottom, unlike there regular costumes which had a sort of full length slip underneath...

and the ones at walmart we have also seen, but cannot find ariel... walmart (and also toys r us) have cinderella, aurora (sleeping beauty), snow white and tinkerbell...

Re: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

what is the quality of the ones sold at WDW? Nicer than the ones sold at the Disney Store?

Re: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Here is a copy of my post from another thread...

Okay, so I went with my 5yo DD and did the castle package last friday.

It was AMAZING!!! The costumes are the same costumes that they sell on property. DD chose Alice, which is not a choice – but a quick word with the manager and an Alice costume appeared.

When we arrived she was introduced to her Fairy Godmother-in-Training. She was then sat in a chair as they brushed out her hair and discussed what type of hairstyle and color nail polish DD wanted. DD then had her nails polished while she waited for them to steam her dress (since Alice is not a regular option for the boutique, the dress was not steamed yet – but if you pick a princess off the list, the dress will be steamed and ready in your DD size). They then brought out the dress in a white garment bag and lead us to a dressing room. After DD got changed (and twirled in her dress several hundred times), she got back in the chair and the FG-T did her hair like a fairy princess - including fancy tiara.

The manager (who was so helpful in getting us the Alice dress) then went out in the store and found my DD socks and shoes to go with the dress and a Cheshire Cat. The FG-T even put a bow in Cheshire Cat's hair.

The castle package also includes photos. You take them over at another store in DTD and they do a little photo shoot with DD. You then can choose 1 5X7, and 4 4X6 (doesn't have to be the same pose for all pictures).

They had put this jewel sticker on her face, but that did not last long (it was SO HOT it just slide right off).

We then spent the rest of the day at EPCOT where everyone treated her like a princess. Cast members asked her for her autograph. We even ran into Alice. DD wore the tiara every day of our trip and wore the Alice dress again on our last day (where for only $5, we had her hair done up at the MK Barber Shop – complete with blue paint that matched her dress).

The cost is dependent on how many accessories you choose. Since Alice doesn’t really have any accessories, we did not go over the starting price and with my passholder discount it was actually less than that.

Whether or not you feel it is worth the money is a personal choice. For me, it was completely worth it.
