Next week, I'm showing my friend everything we can do for FREE!

I'm currently recruiting my dear friend Mary for Disney Addict status. (It's catchy!)

She is considering taking her family on vacation with us in September, but she's a serious WDW virgin.

She's cute. She calls the MK "Disney World". I am on a mission to expand her horizons.

So, I'm treating her to the same Mind-Expanding Extravaganza that I forced Matt into back in December (This trip turned him into an addict, so I hope it has the same effect on Mary!)

Here is the plan. No parks. I'm blacked out.

This is about her seeing WDW BEYOND the MK, and beyond 'hurrying to the next ride".

We will valet at the Contemporary. The Contemporary is "Disney" to her - because she's only been to the MK twice, and she likes "the resort that the monorail goes right through".

I'll take her on the resort monorail loop, stopping at EACH resort, so she can take in the beauty of it all, and get a feel for the greatness of WDW.

After our Resort Loop Celebration, we will head to the EPCOT monorail loop. She's never even CONSIDERED going to EPCOT, and I'm hoping that seeing a little sneak preview of it will change her mind!

After a little EPCOT preview, we'll head back to the TTC.

Here is where I need help.

I want to go to DtD for lunch (Earl), and then I want to take her to the boardwalk in the evening.

Any suggestions on logistics? Take a bus to DtD? Then, how do I get to the Boardwalk from there?

After the boardwalk, it's back to the Contemporary for Wishes from the observation deck at the Grand Canyon Concourse.

Suggestions??

Addiction is an ugly word.

Think more along the phrase of Obsessive Compulsion..

Take a bus to DTD and do your thing there. Take the bus back to the TTC and get a bus to the Boardwalk. [I think there is one.]

You'll have a lot of buses to do on that day, lol.

That's ok, busses can be fun. If you ride them with me.

I don't think you can gat resort busses at the TTC any longer. How about taking the launch from MK to WL stopping by that beautiful lobby on your way out to the bus stop for a DtD bus. You can shop a bit after lunch and then get a bus to BW (or any other resort if you have time to resort hop for a couple of hours).

Oh, I kill me.

Seriously, all sounds great -- I would also go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and perhaps eat at Boma -- afterward, go outside to see the animals, the fire pit, and don't forget that at night CMs will have night-vision goggles to watch the animals with too. There's something fantastic about looking out the window of the hotel and giraffes are walking by... :wow:

Teach, that is a PERFECT idea. That would get a boat ride in (which she would love), and then she can see the WL!!!

That works perfectly. You're magnificent!

Yep. I agree with Steph. Take a bus to DTD from one of the monorail resorts for your Earl lunch, then jump on a Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin/Beach Club/Yacht Club bus to get to the Boardwalk.

Then take a bus from one of those resorts to the MK and stroll back over (or take the monorail) to the Contemporary for dinner.

I can always find a way to visit my favorite resort even if it's just for a walk through.

We -MIGHT- get to AKL. I'd like to, but it's doubtful. I really want her to see Wishes from the Observation Deck. After that, it will be back to reality. (and all the our kids!)

I think I'll take your advice and visit the AKL during a different "non-park" trip. Me likey giraffes. And goats.
