Disneyquest question

Hello everyone! This is my very first post .

My husband and I will be visiting WDW in the first week of November for our honeymoon. We will only have four and a half days there. We are staying at the Boardwalk, mostly because it was his favorite hotel when we visited the last time in 2001.

My question is this.... I'm planning on going to Animal Kingdom on the 6th and since it closes at 6 I would really like to visit DTD that evening. I would love to visit Disneyquest, and enjoy some of it's activities. I was just wondering how long it would ultimately take. I really want to create my own rollercoaster, and do some of the other highlighted activities they have listed on Disney.com's webpage. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thank you!

Re: Disneyquest question

Hi and welcome, You can do all the adult things as quickly or as drawn out as you like. It doesn't take but 10 minutes to make your roller coaster and then maybe with a little wait to ride it. Be sure and buy the tape of your ride. It is so much fun to watch. The whole thing is over in 20 minutes. But when you play pirates, you might want to do that more than once.
3 hours should cover the whole Disney Quest.

Re: Disneyquest question

I agree with Dopey, About 3 to 4 hours is plenty for us. Depending on the Crowd, you can be in and out very fast. The Pirates game downstairs (Long Wait) and the old 80's arcade games were our favorites.

I covered DQ in about 4 hours but would have liked to spend more time on some of the activities and playing games. I'm a video game junkie so when I saw the old 80's video games I was like a kid in a candy shop, not to mention all the new ones. Pirates is a lot of fun but expect long lines, they also have so many other rides and activities to take advantage of I would advise a good 6-8 hours.

Re: Disneyquest question

Welcome! When we went we spent about 3 or 4 hours, but we didn't do nearly everything that we could have there. I don't know if the counter service there is still done by The Cheesecake Factory, but if it is, then it was some of the best we had while we were at Disney (just a thought!).

Re: Disneyquest question

Welcome! We just went during our last trip on a rainy day. We spent about 4 hours there. My kids could have stayed longer, but I was getting a litttle antsy after 3, I had done everyhting I wanted to do. We had a great time, I guess it depends on how much of a video game junkie you are! The great thing is...when your tired of DQ, you can stroll around DTD and have fun!

Welcome to the Buzz~ Disney quest is usually open until around 11pm. If you get there around the 6pm time, you should be able to do more than enough. Have fun and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Re: Disneyquest question

Welcome to the Buzz!!

We make a trip atleast twice each trip! We are there the typical 3-4 hours. DH and DS love the racing games and I hang out in the comfy chairs on the internet. Interent access is "free" in, I think, 20 minute intervals.

Congrats on the wedding and have fun planning your honeymoon.

Oh, and you will love BW. It is so relaxing strolling around, or renting a surrey bike in the evening. They have entertainers here and there after dinner. It is fun! Also plan on making a trip to Beaches n Cream at BC. Great ice cream!

Re: Disneyquest question

Hi FaerieDust!! Welcome to MouseBuzz!

DisneyQuest can be done however fits your style. You can draw it out for a long time, or just skim over some of the highlights. But I absolutely agree with Dopey, but the tape of you riding your rollercoaster! It has potential to be hysterical! It was one of our favorite things to watch after our trip!

P.S. Have a great time at the Boardwalk! I'm jealous! Sooooo romantic!

Re: Disneyquest question

Welcome to Mouse Buzz. We usually go to DQ 3-4 times on a trip because our family relly enjoys teh games. We spend about 4 hours in there each visit, but DH and DS could spend a good 8-10 hours there. It depends on how much you like video games. I have also heard that it will be closing at the end of this year. You definitely should go and experience it before it closes for good.
