Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
I like BB better but I can't tell you why, I guess because it's the one we know best. However, TL does have the new Crush Gusher and I think that alone might made it worth it to go there.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
Well you can't get much more helpful than Dr. Teeth's information, but I'll put in my 2 cents anyway.
![]() I Typhoon Lagoon for its laid-back atmosphere. It has more shade and seems a little more easygoing, but it still has some great slides. HOWEVER, I Blizzard Beach too, because it has many more thrills and feels more like a "theme park" when you get there...there's so much to do!It's really hard for me to pick a favorite. I usually say TL, only because I don't come home from there feeling completely exhausted! ![]()

Depending on the ages of the kids I would recommend Blizzard Beach. They have a section with slides specifically for the little ones and some great slides for the adults as well.

We personally prefer TL although both are great. If you're going when it's hot TL has more shade.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
This is an age-old question! I think that smaller kids are better off at TL. We love both.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
We LOVE typhoon lagoon, it is the highlight of our trip. Last time we went, kids were 18months, 5 and 7 and they had the best time.
That being said, only went to blizzard beach without the kids, AND we are from Maine, we see enough snow. . .like the atmosphere at TL. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong - its Disney!

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
I personally preferred TL with the snorkeling with the sharks and the wave pool. BB I think of as more for the younger kids and teens.
But just like all things Disney, it's a matter of personal preference. Whichever one you pick, you will be sure to have fun.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
TL. At the new crush n gusher, they have a zero entry pool where I played with the little ones while we switched off for the slde. More shade, no Ice water in the lazy river (also very dark in there in BB). Kids area and more out of the way cays (Literaly) for quiet picnics. Also seems like there are better buses.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
Been to both and we also prefer TL over BB. First trip w/ DS (2004) went to both parks and wound up at TL a second time. Second trip w/ DS (2005) we never even went to BB but went to TL 4 times. Crush n Gusher is absolutely awesome too. Kind of out of the way from the other park to dos but loads of fun. And....we love the music theme at TL, surf/hey dude, type music.
Personally think BB is themed better but TL has more to do with families.

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
We've been to both and DW and I like TL better. It's more laid-back. Our kids liked BB better. And with your kids' ages, BB might be better. But either place will be tons o' fun!

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
TL is the more relaxed theme park but has amazing water-coasters! BB's main attraction is the Summet Plummet (Which I have yet to brave!) but it has alot of thril, high action slides which is probably better for the braver little ones who are tall enough or the thrill seeking older children. TL is definalty more relaxed, with great rides and a fantastc wave pool (I could spend hours in there) and it's lazy river is dfinalty the best!
It all just depends on what kind of day you want to have! |

Re: blizzard beach or typhoon lagoon
We he never been to either but I hvae to say TL tempts me more than BB. Although DH would prob disagree with me.......infact that is probably the reason why we have never been to a water park....we can never decide on which one to go to!
TL always seems so relaxing but at the same time has so many cool things to do. BB seems a little 'peh' to me. Hopefully we will do them soon enough and then I can be of more help!
