Buying Wine

I realize this seems like an odd question but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place on property that we can purchase a bottle of wine? We are going down with my inlaws and we were thinking that after a long day we may want to relax and have some wine and cheese on our balcony. Any suggestions? Is there a place in Westside or maybe the countries? Italy?

Yes, Nokey, Italy has quite a wide selection. However, I don't recall seeing any in the other countries. Of course, the only reason I know about the selection in Italy is because it's in the same shop that they sell all the Italian chocolate!

Re: Buying Wine

I have always bought my wine in the resort's gift shop. They have a decent enough selection.

Your welcome! I hate to pack a bottle of wine. I am afriad that I will have a suitcase full of glass with that "wineo" smell...lol It costs more of course to get it at the resort, but what the heck...it's vacation after all. I love a nice glass a wine at the end of the WDW day ...or a beer or 4..lolol

Re: Buying Wine

Most of the deluxe resorts and DVC gift shops should have basic choices. I guess the wine making countries pavilions in the World Showcase, including saki and plum wine from Japan. Also, the Disney Gourmet shop next to Earl of Sandwich sells various wines including the special Disney bottled champagne.

Re: Buying Wine

There are several sites at EPCOT, that sell wine by the bottle, as mentioned, as well as at many of the resorts. There is also a great general store, "Goodings," at the Crossroads Shopping Center near Down Town Disney and in the WDW town of Celebration near the Gaylord.

Have fun!

Re: Buying Wine

Yes Japan sales Saki. After the last remodel they put in a Saki sampling bar back in the area where they used to have museum like displays.

Re: Buying Wine

You can purchase wine in any of the resorts or at Epcot or Downtown Disney. My personal favorite is Rosa Regale, a sparkling Italian wine. Absolutely incredible! I have never heard of anyone who didn't like it.
