Disneyquest rehab?

Hi! Does anyone have any information about the DQ rehab? I am taking my children to WDW for the first time in November. My 11 year old DS is dying to go to DQ, and he is concerned that a lot of it will be closed. I was really looking forward to the retro games, and I understand that they have been working on that section.

They are doing a rehab in one section. The rest of DQ is open. I called them myself last week.

No, but I didn't ask either. Sorry I probally should have. The CM I spoke to said the place would be operational and only one section would be getting rehabbed at a time. Apparently, the whole place is getting a little redo. I may have have to call there later to change an ADR, if I remember, I will ask about how long its going to take.

i wonder the same too Dana.When is the disneyquest rehab finished?

That doesn't make sense to me. I thought they were planning on closing DQ at the end of the year and that they were going to put an ESPN Zone in its place. Since they are spending the money on a rehab, is there a possibility that DQ won't be closing after all?

I called and ask a CM the other day about DQ closing. I was told that it's not closing ....got me? They are going ahead with the ESPN thing, but I have no idea where the heck they are putting it..lol

Just called again here is what I was told: Disney Quest is undergoing a rehab only. It is not closing. ESPN club is not coming....now this is a different responce from what I got before about the ESPN club, so who knows. I can probally call back again and get yet another answer about that..lol The only thing that remains the same on these calls is that DQ is not closing...only rehabbing. I always feel slightly confused when I get off the phone with a CM...to many different answers..lol Oh before I forget: they didn't know how long the rehab was going to take or wouldn't tell me...you pick.

Thanks for calling about that. We love DQ and were all really sad to know that it was going to close. Now, I guess I will need to save up even more money so I can add the water parks and more option to our tickets. I really do hope they don't close DQ. We have so much fun playing all of the games in there. Hopefully the refurbishment will be done by December. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed!

I am so happy to hear that they are not planning on closing DQ. Certainly does not make sense to rehab if they are going to close in a year or so. DH and DS are going to be so excited to hear this. We were figuring it would be our last time at DQ during our May 07 trip.

I remember that rumor. In fact, until Dana posted, I thought it was fact.

I guess we shouldn't believe everything we read on this board (unless I posted it. Then it should be memorized and recited daily.)

I had read on a few other places though that DQ was closing. I hope that the CM who told Dana that there are no plans to close DQ is correct. We love that place.
