salon info?
I am new here and not sure where to start, but here is my situation... my son and his girlfriend are getting married in April 07 at the Yacht Club. We are busy making all of the arrangements and all things considered, it has been going pretty well! The one thing we are struggling with is where to get her hair and makeup done. The person we are dealing with at Disney Weddings sent us a packet with 4 outside vendors, and so far none of them have returned our calls or emails and the bride to be is getting worried! Everything else is going so smootly, but can ayone share their thoughts on this? I know there are salons throughout the resorts (we are staying 10 days at CBR) and I am wondering if she can't just go to one and get her hair done prior to the wedding... suggestions?? Thank you!

I would have a talk with the wedding concierge. They should be able to help you out by making some phonecalls. How about taking your regular hair person with you?
I mean, you'll be spending a pretty penny there, what's one more plane ticket and a room for a night? Oh and WELCOME to MB

There is a salon located at the Yacht and Beach Club. I am sure you can call the resort and they can direct your call to the salon for more information.
There is also a fabulous spa at the Dolphin Resort which is the next resort on the boardwalk called Mandara Spa. It's purely amazing. I would recommend that also. It would be the ultimate pampering on a wedding day.  Here's the link for more info on the spa: MandaraSpa.com

I have gone to two salons at WDW:
The GF Salon was understaffed, and they made my hair look like an old woman's hair. They seemed only able to cater to a grandmother-type crowd. The Mandara Spa at the Dolphin... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ oh, and more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Did I mention $$$$$$$$$$$$? I even go to have my hair done in New York City, for crying out loud, so I am used to a big tab at the end. And I was REALLY bummed out by the prices we paid at Mandara. I felt like crying as we left the hotel! Beware!!!!!

Welcome, I would just keep calling and calling until you get someone on the phone. If you have to leave a message, leave a detailed message for them that usually works.
