Icon5 Pleasure Island

My friend and I are going to WDW in the fall for 10 days. And we are thinking about going to Pleasure island for a night.
I was wondering couple of things...
1) Is there normally time in the evenings to visit Pleasure Island or do most of you think that after spending a day at the theme parks you are just too tired to spend a night at Pleasure Island?
2)Also what clubs would you recommend? I'm really considering the Adventurers Club.
3)Do we need to make Reservations?
Thanks..

Re: Pleasure Island

First off, welcome to MB Aqua1981!!!!!

PI is a lot of fun. We go most of the time when we are down there. There are lots of clubs to meet any type of entertainment that you want. We typically go to 8-trax and the Rock & roll beach club, as well as the Adventures club and the comedy club.

Most of the night life starts after 8 pm, and goes until .....

We generally find a night that we had an early day in the parks, take a short nap and then go out for the night.

No reservations are required. The cost is $21 per person, and any one under 16 must be accompanied by an adult into the clubs.

Welcome to MB, Aqua!

Your choice of the Adventurer's Club is a great one...there are tons of MBers who adore this club and make a point to visit it on every trip! There are no reservations required.

If I go to Pleasure Island, I usually try to do it on a day when I'm not doing anything to wear myself out. It's a great cap to a day of leisurely shopping, or a day spent enjoying just one park.

The fall is a beautiful time to go to WDW, and since you have 10 days you should have no problem fitting in a visit to PI! Have fun!

Re: Pleasure Island

Hi Aqua!
We always go to Pleasure Island for a night. We spend almost the whole night at 8-Trax. I always say I'm going to go to the other clubs, but I just have too much fun with the 70's and 80's music! We'll leave to go to another club, but pretty quickly we head right back.
I like to go after a short day at the parks (not one where we were walking around all day from opening until closing.) For me, that usually translates to a water park day. Blizzard beach from 10a-5p, rest for a couple hours, then head out for the night.
(of course, it makes for a slow start the next morning too.)

Thanks. Now I have an idea of how to plan our time. So that we can enjoy Pleasure Island... And plan our time appropriatley.
Is there a lot of dancing at 8-Trax? Neither myself nor my friends are dancers.. I wish...

Yep, there's dancing - and if you think you can't dance, don't worry! Just have fun! Look at it this way - you'll never see all those people in the bar again. Boogie your heart out! And it's not like everybody there is a great dancer, anyway.
But, if you really don't like to dance, most people really like the Adventurer's Club. I say most because I've never managed to go there (I tried on my last trip, but we started at 8-Trax, then went to Mannequin's. By the time we headed over to AC, they were finishing up for the night. So, it was back to 8-Trax!)

You'll have fun, no matter where you go!

Re: Pleasure Island

On the night you intend to visit PI, you should make it an "off" day from the parks. Sleep in, relax by the pool and just hang out...maybe head to the market place and do some shopping. You will be set to party after a nice long day of relaxing. You do not need nor do they accept reservations at PI clubs...have fun!
