Parasailing

Has anyone ever tried the parasailing at the Contemporary?

We always see them while we're waiting for our Chef Mickey reservation, and everytime my husband says how much he'd like to try it. But, it's like $90 for 10 minutes.

Is it worth it?

Re: Parasailing

We had da boys do it last summer
and they loved it! DW and I were on
the boat while they did the double
version. Is it worth it? We would say
yes. DW and myself may do it on our
April trip.

Re: Parasailing

Thanks Franco! That's all the push I needed. He really wants to do it. I think I'll sign him up as a surprise.

How long did the whole experience take?

Re: Parasailing

I don't recall the real time but it seems
longer than it really is, four maybe three
circles around the lake? 15-20 minutes?
Pretty cool!

Oh wow, I didn't think about that... we are going bass fishing on Bay Lake, leaving from the WL our first day at WDW.

Re: Parasailing

If all goes as it should, you never touch
the water. You take off on the boat and
you land on the boat.

Re: Parasailing

I've thought about those gators myself!! That's why I'm staying in the boat!

Franco had the key phrase...."if all goes as it should..."

Re: Parasailing

While on the Gold Plan in 2004 we were going to try this, partly because it was included in our plan, but weren't able to when we wanted because it was too windy that day. It's still on the to do list, but not a top priority.

Re: Parasailing

I have gone parasailing ( not at WDW) it is incredible!!!!!!! I don't swim and I was talked into it . I went when we were in Ft.Lauderdale.

It is soooo quiet you would not belive it and the view is amazing! you can see the sand bars in the water and even the dophins when we went.

If you can handle the 90.00 it costs at wdw do it. the 10 minutes you get is plenty really.

my kids want to do it when we go ages 8 and 11 but I am not sure if they can or not I think there is a weight requirement maybe they can go up together!

I know when I went they said if I did not like it they would bring me in right away. sometimes yu do end up in the water briefly but most of the time they can get youback to the plateform with no problem
