Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

Whats up everybody, this will be my first time trying one of the water parks in Disney. I have been to White Water in Georgia many, many times but I really wanted to go to one of these.

I think I'm pretty much set on Blizzard Beach, because of Summet Plummet.. I think thats what its called, might be another park, but I wanted to hear other peoples views on the 2 water parks.

Thanks.

Definately Blizzard Beach. i may be biased because ive only been to typhoon lagoon once, but blizzard beach is the better park.

We share a magic day, we share enchanted nights
It's a neverending story and together we all find
It's been a part of me, it's been a part of you.

For me, choosing one over the other is difficult. Blizzard Beach is great for all the slides and stuff - I'm not brave enough to try Summit Plummit. But I love Typhoon Lagoon for the wave pool and the coral reef area! If you can only go to one and you want exciting slides, do Blizzard Beach. If you want to just kick back and relax and enjoy some really spectacular themeing for a water park, visit Typhoon Lagoon. Whenever we go to WDW my DH and I have to do both - we can't pick one over the other. :)

Did you catch the Travel Channel program America's Best Water Parks? If not, I'm sure you could check the program guide on teir web site. I'm sure they will replay it! BB was #2 and TL didn't even make the top 10. We haven't been to either so I can't give my opinion. But, for our family TL looks best for us. My 4 yr old won't be going on any major slides and the shark reef looks very interesting!

We live in GA (Canton, north of Marietta) and I grew up going to White Water with a seasons pass every year. We're looking forward to taking my DD this summer!

They are really both great!!!! I love TL for that "LAZY RIVER"!!
I remember one July going with about 30 of our friends, and we were the first family they let in!! That was really nice, everyone was able to get on the slides before the Park actually opened.
At that time all our kids, were younger. Of course, they really got a kick out of that!!! That park was Blizzard Beach!!!:)
I think which ever one you choose, you will have a great time!! JOANN:)

Our family of four is split: The kids vote for BB, while wife and I go with TL. But you can't go wrong with either one! We found TL a little more relaxing, but BB has the more thrilling slides. The chance to swim with the fish at TL is a plus.

HAVE FUN.

BB or TL

If I had to choose between the two it would be Blizzard beach. The theme is fun, and the rides are great. They have a great Lazy river, as well as a great area for little toddlers, where you can also find a place to sit and sun yourself and relax!
There are slides for every level of fun. My daughter and I am pretty conservative, but my son and hubby aren't, so there is something for everyone!:)

Looks like your mind is made up but I will put my 2 cents in anyway. I have been to TL, BB and Wet n Wild. If you are looking for pure thrills you need to go to Wet n Wild. The atmosphere there is nothing but a hot concrete jungle. I visited BB when it was new and was totally unimpressed. If you have ridden one steep slide....well that is about it. TL I thought was beautiful and so much fun. The snorkeling is something unique. I think BB got such a high rating on the travel channel thing because of the tall slide. It is all in what you are looking for(maybe it is all in how adventurous you are!)
