Cirque Seating

I'm looking at surprising my hubby and kids for our Christmas trip with a Cirque show. I was wondering if Catagory 3 seating is still good seating and we'll be able to see everything or if I should pay the extra $100 to get Catagory 2 seating.

Thanks!

Re: Cirque Seating

BDavis, I can tell you 100 percent that Category 3 seating is fantastic. In fact, I would rather sit higher for this show than near the stage.

First, a TON of the show is way up high. Second, there is a pre-show that happens up in higher in the theater (so go early!).

We paid a ton of money to get Category 2 seating. We were in teh last row of Category 2, thinking about how if I had saved the money and been in Category 3, the view would have been exactly the same.

What Miss Disney said . . .

You would not regret Cat.3 seating one bit!! What a great surprise. The show is so cool!

Re: Cirque Seating

Yup, MissDisney is right.

We sat front and center and I wished that we could have been higher up to get the whole picture of all that went on.

Re: Cirque Seating

Definitely sit up higher, but get as close to the center of the stage as you can. We were in one of the 'wings,' and several parts of the show were blocked when the stage came up.

Re: Cirque Seating

Higher is better. We were in the top row of level 1 and I wouldn't want to be much closer. You should be just fine. Spend that extra money on dinner before or after the show.

Re: Cirque Seating

Just another tip... When I bought our tickets, I spoke directly with somone at "Cirque", & I asked for specific seats, which they were able to do. If I would have let the " disney ticket representative" sell me the tickets, I would not have been able to do this. When I called to buy, they transfered me to the "cirque" personnel. This was great because I wanted the first row of the higher level & it was GREAT! The pre-show happened right in front of us (as well as the ending). When I tried to buy online the computer was just giving the "best available" seats which was not what I wanted. Anyway, I'm glad I kept trying. Enjoy the show!

Thanks for the tip! What seats/area should I try for! I'd love a view like that!

Re: Cirque Seating

Try looking at this chart for help. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cirqu...seatingmap.htm We sat in the first row of section 204. We chose that because there are only 3 seats in that row, & there are just the 3 of us, so it worked out. I would suggest any seat in the first row of sections 203, 204, 205. This will put you at a more central view. However, the first rows of sections 202 or 206 should be good too. Just remember that it is a relatively small area in which they seat you which means that you will be quite close now matter where you are seated. Even seats at the back seem to be pretty good as far as proximity.

Re: Cirque Seating

Thanks for the help everyone! (Especially the seating chart NancyK!)

I ordered tickets this morning. DMom (Trailblazer) decided she wants to come too. I hope none of us are disappointed. We've seen highlights of it on several different travel channel shows...hope we haven't "seen it all"...

Our seats are in section 206, Row JJ. We are one row behind Catagory 2 pricing. I'm so excited and I'm already finding it difficult to keep it a secret from DHubby. I've been reading reviews on it on tripadvisior.com. 98% of them say the show is amazing...I can't wait!

Believe me when I say: you haven't seen it all. There is so much more to that show than they can show on TV. You will love, love, love it.

Perfection! There are no better seats in the house (and when you see the bicycle portion of the show, you will be so happy you are NOT in the front row! Hee hee!)

You have the seats that I wish we'd had. We were in teh last row of the Cat 2 seats, and I was really bummed that the people behind me had the same excelletn view for a better price! Way to go!
