Icon5 Basin Soaps

We have been home from our trip for 2 weeks and the soaps we got from Basin were...perspiring...so to say. They were suppose to be Christamas gifts. The ones they make with the things inside them, llike a crown, a bunch of little mickey heads, etc One was a pumkim shape. So we had to peel the wrappers off them which was no easy task.
They are now laying out on a wax paper in my Moms freezer or Fridge.
Is this normal? What should we do? Has this happened to anyone else? We have never experienced this and need info.

Re: Basin Soaps

Hmm..we bought some in June and they were and still are fine..so that seems weird to me..did they come out of the luggage like that? It could be that they just had a lot of moisture wherever they were. But I have had other soaps do that and I usually just put them in the fridge until I needed them. When Christmas comes just wrap them up in some pretty shrink wrap with ribbons and they'll be adorable.

Re: Basin Soaps

I've bought those soaps before and haven't had that happen. In fact, I've let them sit around for months and months and they've always been fine. Could they have gotten really hot waiting to be loaded on the plane?

Re: Basin Soaps

Weird that is hasn't happened to anyone else. Sorry it's taken me a long time to get back, I was busy reading a series of books. DH still making fun of me for finishing 3 in about a week.
I'm not sure if they got hot sitting for the plane, I was hot inside the airport but I also was tired and cranky. Mom said they were already doing it when we had our day of thundrstorms from Hannah. We peeled the paper off and put them on wax paper and in the fridge. Now she's wrapped them in wax paper and put them in a ziplock bag and they seem fine. (Back at room temp) Lets hope it stays that way until she can give them to the kids as gifts.
She has no A/C and lives about a mile from the beach. I wonder if that had anything to do with it? Who knows. Hopefully they stay fine. I think it's cooled off here dramaticly too.

Re: Basin Soaps

That is so crazy. I buy these soaps often at Basin, I love them. I still have an unwrapped one in my bathroom closet with little Mickey Heads in yellow soap. I never experienced that problem.

Re: Basin Soaps

I could have spent a lot of money in there but luckily Mom took over before I started picking out which ones I liked best! LOL
I couldn't resist going to GF where I stayed for my honeymoon. I love the feeling of being in there! Anyway, there it was and thank goodness Mom did the buying for the kids. The soaps are fine now which is great but it was really weird! I kept asking her what on earth she did to make them do that???
