According to allears.net, Typhoon Lagoon is now scheduled to close Oct 26th (instead of Nov.1st) for it's Winter Rehab.

There goes my plans of getting a little TL time in on Oct. 31st before MNSSHP, like I had planned!

We really have no interest in BB but we might go now.
I already have the Water Parks and more ticket option. *sigh*

Looks like we will be going to BB instead also.

It will be open for our trip of 10/2/08 to 10/12/08 But Blizzard Beach will be closed. My kids are so sad about that! Last time we didn't go to Blizzard Beach.

BB is closing the first day of our trip, so we won't be able to visit, but TL will be open and is on the agenda.
My kids were bummed about BB, because they love Summit Plummet, and I wanted to go, because I have never been, but we will do TL and enjoy that!!

We've been there 2 or 3 times and just LOVE it there at TL!

DD loves the wave pool (does BB have one?)

And we just love the different areas there and all and we know our way around pretty good.

I guess we were bound to try out BB sooner or later!

Bummer ... you'll still have fun at Blizzard Beach . . . won't you be tired for MNSSHP that night? My DDs could never do a day in the fun/sand/sun and then make it to midnight!!

They got their costumes at Party City today . . . DD8 a Pirate Cheerleader, and DD4 a Princess Cat . . . don't ask! It'll be interesting for sure!! We were there for HOURS and they kept going back to these . . . it should be fun! I'm hoping we will be able to get their faces painted BEFORE the party . . . but being it's the 31st the lines might be too much?

If I don't got to a water park that day I was thinking of hanging at that awesome pool at the CBR! Then getting to MK around 4. Hey ya wanna pool hop?

I haven't gone shopping yet for DD"s costume but then again she knows what she wants. Princess cat sounds cute and interesting! And Pirate cheerleader sounds !!!!

Val, why not change your tickets or do you already have them? I always book the packages and that allows me to make changes

I am going to Disney in 16 days and am completely bummed
that BB is going to be closed for rehab! TL has always been
my favorite, but with the boys getting a little older now
(8 & 6) we decided to give BB a try last year and we actually
found that we enjoyed it more than TL. Not sure if you
have kids or not or how old they may be but if they are
around my kids age, they might enjoy BB even more. My
kids loved the ski patrol training camp (for kids 5-11).

Well DD was a little depressed that we didnt go to a waterpark last 2 times we went in 2007 (GT & our Dec. trip). So if we can go this trip that would be nice.
I was thinking about changing my ticket option, but if I have it, I will be more determined to use it than lose it and I wont have to pay OOP for it? Ya know?

My travel agent changed my package 3 times and I also hate to ask again!
Chg#1 - Apply Fall Sale discount
Chg#2 - Took 1 nite off at end (I forgot to remind her when she added the fall sale )
Chg#3, - take off car rental, cheaper NOT to do it thru disney on package, so I will now have to pay that OOP when I pick it up.

Yes, I do, I think I said on another post on this thread, that my DD age 10, really loves the wave pool at TL and the overall theming and all. BB looks like alot of speed slides and not much else and the theming totally does NADA to us!
