Wintuk is WONDERFUL . . . we went last Xmas when we were visiting my parents in NJ! You are going to really like it! Enjoy!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

We saw La Noube in August. You and your DD will absolutely love it!!! Just remember that a lot of the action is happening up high, so the closer seats are not neccesarily 'better' to see a lot of the action.

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

We saw La Nouba on our last trip because we wanted to do something we had never done at WDW. I had never done it before because of the price mainly.

Also, I have always been kind of freaked out by other Cirque shows (that one they show on Bravo all the time) and I hate the regular circus (which I know Cirque is nothing like, but this is the way my brain works, ha). Anyway I LOVED LOVED LOVED La Nouba. You will not be disappointed. My 15 year old and 11 year old cousins also really liked it. Have fun!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

Cirque is worth every penny (IMHO). It is different from anything you could do at WDW, and it is just amazing. The time just flies during the performance, as there is always something going on. You will not be disappointed.

Just for the record... I don't want anyone to be mislead but 'Cirque Dreams' (Jungle Fantasy, or whatever it was called) is NOT a Cirque Du Soleil show. They are not associated with Cirque Du Soleil what-so-ever.

Not Cirque Du Soleil: Cirque Dreams Opens On Broadway

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

It is definitely worth the money. And I really don't think there's a bad seat in the house so don't worry about buying the higher price tickets. In fact, I've read a few opinions that sitting up close isn't the greatest because you can't see the whole stage and there's a lot going on. And necks get sore looking up. We'll definitely see the show again!!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

LOL! Thanks everyone!
We don't have to worry about being too close.... We took the budget tickets in the back towards the right side. I tried to get the DV discount too but it appears to have ended. I figured that if we love it, we can always go back with better seats :)

I am getting SO excited everytime I see my countdown. I can hardly focus on non-Disney activities!

This show is amazing!! I saw it in June with my BF and we had such an amazing time, make sure you keep your eyes peeled all over the stage, side to side and up and down there is always something going on in every corner, you will have a fantastic time!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

3 times, twice in the last 2 years. Last time was 2 weeks ago. Cannot get enough. The last 2 we have played a game w/ the kids and went to DTD as if we were shopping @ DTD and when we got around Disneyquest and they were commenting how nice it would be to do Cirque one day we gave them the tickets and said "then let's go". The biggest reaction was with our youngest (18 at the time) and her BFF in June 07. They went absolutely nuts. This time was an adult trip for the oldest (25/22).
Do not worry about seats. Our first time 5 years ago we were in the last seats to the very top left side of the stage. Even these were good seats. Just have fun and enjoy. There is so much going on that you will walk out with a big casse of sensory overload. Read up on the story line before you go so you can tell you daughter what is happening. I was lost until the half way point the first time I went.

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

Cirque was AMAZING Zoey. You're going to have a blast! And anywhere you sit is good seats, in fact the further away the better, you can really check out all the action. We sat somewhere in the middle and on the right (stage left) and we had the most fantastic time (me, 20-something, and two 60 yr old parents).

I also paid for all our tickets from my own pocket as an early Christmas gift for my parents, which is...alot of money for someone in college, but it was so worth it!!

Congrats on the tix!!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

We went to Cirque during our 1st anniversary trip last year and it was SO worth the cost! Even DH said that it was the best $200 we spent and he'd absolutely do it again. You'll love it! There's so much to see that you're in awe the whole time. I'm jealous you're going!

Re: Anyone been to Cirque?

I just got the tickets in the mail! Woohoo!
I can't believe they arrived so fast! Even the tickets are cool!

Ok, I gave in and told DD we were going. She is SUPER excited! She dug out the travel books to read about it. It was a little secret- I just had to say SOMETHING!
- But I still kept the secret that it is in Dec rather than Jan!

Now I have to figure out how to start packing w/out her catching on. I am using the "packing away summer clothes" excuse ( we are in MN)!
24 days Yay!
Thanks all!
