You need to call Disney!

Each time I call them, they ask me "What am I celebrating" while I'm at WDW? I think there are PLENTY of options BESIDES the free entry on your birthday!! Call them and see what they say!

Well, his birthday is December 18th so we're not actually celebrating his birthday during our trip. I don't really have anything to give him for his actual birthday in a couple weeks so I was considering giving him some sort of 'WDW experience' to look forward to on our next trip.

I am more of a 'foodie' than he is. Victoria & Alberts would be great but it's something more 'me' than him.

Re: Racing experience thing... information please.

My DH did this a few years ago and was thrilled. We couldn't afford the package where you drive it yourself but I got a coupon on ebay and it was about $100 for a ride along. They gave him a briefing, put him in a race suit and helmet and off he went. they took a picture as a souvie. He is a big race fan and he really enjoyed it.

Re: Racing experience thing... information please.

DH & I did the Ride Along at Atlanta Motor Speedway and I wouldn't take anything for that experience. It was awesome. It was not something I would have done on my own, but the tickets were given to us as a gift.
We live about 15 minutes fro AMS.

I still think it might be a good gift for him. I'm guilty of not doing a lot of things around where I live because I know I can go there anytime to do it, but never take the time to. We all get caught up in everyday living. When I do the same sort of thing somewhere else, it's just different. (I hope this makes sense)

Whoa - I've gotten into some great pursuits. Speed is such a rush, and with the sirens and flashing lights?

*shudder* whoa. I have some great stories.

But a nascar track? Controlled environment? naw - go for the Snorkel thing at EPCOT. That was way cool.

Re: Racing experience thing... information please.

I did the ride along at Disneyworld and while it was very cool I wish I had done the driving one. The ride along was $100.00 and the driving one was $325.00.The ride along was only 3 or 4 laps and believe me they go by very fast. My driver said we went 130 mph.He was only guessing because there is no speedometer only a tachometer. The driving one was 10 laps preceeded by 1 hour of classroom lecture. You must know how to drive a stick shift and there is no refund in case of rain. Would I do it again? Absolutely.... I also would do the driving one next time. I had so much fun it was days before the smile came off my face. I think any "car guy" would enjoy it. Hope this helps.

Ehhh, not so much. He likes video games but isn't a 'sports bar' typa' guy. He doesn't like the ESPN Zone, they are similar right?

I would LOVE to do it but Daniel won't even go in our resort pool.... EVER. Swimming is a lone adventure for me. For as long as we've been married I don't even think he's owned a bathing suit. Getting him into Scuba gear & a wet suit would be NEAR immposible.

I'd like to do theScuba experience though! hehe.
